So while "contrive whatever drama and conflict will justify the matchups we want" is a longstanding tradition in Kinnikuman, it feels particularly contrived at the moment, and thus frustraring. The friendship dolls were a more organic source of conflict.Terry the Kid gets a pass though, that's actually built into his character.
