Is it possible the delay is them retooling things after backlash to last chapter teasing romance?
This hiatus was announced 12 hours before the chapter was meant to be released, mangaplus was also glitching because the system was still set to release a chapter. Maybe they decided that some chapters needed to be redone urgently.
