I know the anime was made just to promote the gamecube game but is it worth watching? It's 52 episodes seems like it'd be a good ride.

Marketing shouldn't form your expectations. Ideon was made to sell toys, for example. All the Zelda manga are better than their counterparts, and many would argue Persona and Genealogy of the Holy War are better as manga. I haven't seen F-Zero though, so I can't answer your question.

It's alright, but very janky and also regularly goes off-model, especially for the female characters. Most of the budget went into the CGI for the F-Zero machines, including the music budget. The final stretch improves to be pretty nice.

I didn't like the MC much, the show also just kinda looks like ass a lot of the time so it depends on your tolerance for extremely low budget kids anime.
Captain Falcon is pretty cool though
