Based on people's vibes or impressions of the characters most people seem to think the Overlord characters are just OP in all ways because they're really OP within their own setting, but that's not necessarily true.

He can either do this for a few seconds at the expense of a heart attack, or by projecting a parasite-heart onto any living thing to "live" for him - short range for anything, theoretically infinite range for anything contracted to him.His weakness is first that he's obsessed with appearances / justification, and refuses to lend his heart out to anyone except immaculate virgins (which is just a mindset problem, which he shows by forcing it onto a nearly-immaculate virgin he previously refused when in a pinch, and theoretically not an ability problem), secondly that he's lazy in using it to it's full extent because he's unwavingly confident that nothing can possibly harm him just by pausing his body's time alone, and finally that he is willing to talk / rant for literal hours / pages on end to justify any position that he holds (because all of the Witch Cult are diagnostically insane), so you have infinite time to figure it out while he can't be bothered to kill you. To that end, he's actually one of the more negotiable Witch Cultists as long as you don't violate his NAP + don't disrespect him (violating his NAP) + don't interrupt him (violating his NAP) + don't ignore him (violating his NAP), don't disagree with him too much, and make a good argument yourself. Albeit extremely autistic. Also, he would eventually find a fault with your argument / attitude and kill you.
Basically he's got a power so broken, that even despite his arrogance, hubris and restraint, he's still basically unbeatable. If he tried, nothing short of stopping the heart of everything alive (including your own heart) could beat him. So Ainz would easily win with an AoE Tier 10 Necromancy spell, but would get a nasty shock when Regulus continues to rant while time is paused and he's trying to figure it out, and would get another nasty shock when [GRASP HEART] does nothing (the first time).He's usually ranked easy Top 5 most powerful in-canon, and in every IF aside from the main storyline, he is unbeatable or a stalemate, since nobody can figure out his gimmick, even if they somehow know it almost nobody is strong enough to endure / kill him. Subaru still needs Reinhard to do the heavy lifting after he figures it out, because Subaru knew pre-isekai'd constellation autism (Regulus = Lion's Heart = Heart gimmick, what did he mention about hearts). There is otherwise no indication that his weakness is an undetectable parasite-heart, no feedback if you destroy the body his heart is parasitizing (Regulus does it himself all the time over the pettiest things, he's got a lot of bitch wives that need to get backhanded for blinking too slowly, clearly disrespecting him, violating his NAP), no delay in his heart parasitizing a new body of his choice (basically automatic, to the point even Regulus forgot to reapply it just before he was killed), and Subaru's "plan" was basically a blind "dudetrustmebro we should try this" to everyone else.The few beings that stalemate him are the Witch of Envy (the apocalypse), Reinhard (able to instantly get any power he can think of on demand, provided he asks for it, including infinite extra lives + immortality, basically a Superman / Saitama style character), Pandora (controlling instrumentality, so anything she desires around her instantly happens, regardless of logic) and Sehkmet (Petelgeuse but infinite / God)
