in my headcanon kakashi becomes the strongest hokage ever by reverse summoning obito's eyes from the underworld communicating with him the same way the second hokage communicated with a fallen friend of his that allowed him to originally develop the resurrection technique. you see they both have white hair which donates they both inherited a seemingly useless dog-like ability to hear frequencies that most people can't. but it was the key to listening to the dead. also guy surviving is crucial for kakashi because he drops his "rivalry" and becomes his mentor and kakashi as his student is super buff. this is how hatake kakashi becomes raijin kakashi.thanks for listening to my headcanon.

another inspiration is the forth season of AoT, where you see the world from an entirely different perspective. so you have city kids, that during their summer vacation want to explore this seemingly forbidden place, that was the ground zero where the battle against kaguya took place. you see all the chakra that flew in this place made it extra fertile for all kinds of things and now it's a refuge for all the ninjas the felt betrayed by their nations. and this ground zero is actually growing into the NEW hidden ninja village. so the "sales pitch" for the first season of the sequel to naruto is a bunch of civilian kids finding themselves into this magic village and contemplating the idea of becoming... NINJAS! of course the ominous thing that obito sensed in my previous post is growing within this village and is targeting those very kids. you see one of those kids is ______ and kakashi will intervene in a dramatic showdown to save him, even though the ninja world had a creed with the civilian world that the ground zero village is off limits.

Naruto had goals both on a big scale and small one. His enemies all had something to say about the world they were in as well. TnJ is silly sometimes but the fact that it existed as a concept at all was because characters had stuff to talk about to each other.
