You know what, I unironically think that Dragon Ball Super should do a direct sequel to the GT timeline in a way that would also fix it. Think of it as a big event movie: a new villain emerges in the GT timeline who’s as strong as the Super characters. But here’s what’s cool, Goku is basically gone in GT, so the entire premise is that without Goku, this timeline is doomed. We’d see this new villain absolutely wreck everyone there. Insert Future Trunks into the plot, multiverse/time-travel shenanigans, then bring in the DBS heroes to save the day.

I’ve been working on it (mostly in my mind) since 2007 and I keep hitting roadblocks in my storytelling. I have many directions to choose from and I’m not exactly sure how to go forward with any of the ideas I have, but there is one story I have in mind that is more developed than the others, so I may stick with that one. Overall, my character is supposed to be the most powerful being in the universe and he does what he can to go about his life without destroying everything.I just started playing with a new idea, using the Chekov’s Gun trope for my character, and the villain I had created is supposed to find a way to make my character lose control and destroy everything but he has had no luck – he would try to use my character’s wife and children as leverage to get him emotionally involved but it’s revealed the woman and children are stronger than the villain, and the villain gives up – my character would finally snap at the end of the story where something insignificant angers him and he ends up destroying the planet he was on. I then read Dragon Ball Kakumei and decided to throw that idea out and work on my other ideas.
