I know a second season is hopeless, but I'm at least holding out for an OVA.

Given that, metaphorically speaking, the eye-patch is meant to represent Ayano's trauma, it surprises me that the show chose to make him wear it again after the events of this episode. It would have served as a more conclusive and satisfactory ending in my opinion, but I understand it would also complicate things if the show gets a second season, so maybe that's why they didn't go for the obvious thing and instead left it in a sort of "overcoming trauma is a healing process that takes time" message, hence why he keeps wearing it despite the assurance of his close friends. Regardless, I thoroughly enjoyed this series. The gimmick grew tired as it went along, but they were aware of it since they both used it less often and also gave it a purpose by tying it in with Ayano's past and his feelings of insecurity. Great cast, solid VA work, lovely art direction.
I wanted to see Yano's eyepatchless face, feels like a cocktease. Too bad the manga isn't translated, so here's hoping for a season 2. I enjoyed this way more than I thought I would.
