It's funny how life works, I missed my train an hour ago, so I had an hour to kill, and then the chapter drops at the exact same time.Maybe this is the work of a certain mechanism?I'm a bit torn on this whole fight because on one hand it is easily one of the best mini arcs in the series, but on the other hand, the enemy stand was a bit vague in it's abilities and the way the fight was resolved seemed a bit nonsensical to me. It didn't exactly ruin my enjoyment, but it didn't leave me completely satisfied either. Key West getting her stand smashed against a metal railing to finish her off was great though. I also like how Jodio dropped the act and confronted Howler head on. This feels like a turning point in the story. Next chapter will be a big one.

I just finally got caught up again. I get why Araki had it play out this way for plot reasons, but there's no way Howler wouldn't recognize Lulu-chan's voice, or at the very least realize that the voice belongs to someone other than Laem Chabang. I felt really sad for her when her dad hung up on her. I suppose we don't know the actual truth about their relationship, but she at least is convinced that Howler's her dad. I can't imagine how awful she was feeling after being ignored like that. Unlike us readers, she has no idea what's going on on the yacht. She's just stuck in that room all by herself after almost being killed.

Yeah I like how in previous parts fate seems to be on the side of the villains until the end but here fate is on the protagonist side at first. It has to flip though otherwise things will be to easy.

Both parties are acting selfishly, and they are only opposing one another due to circumstance. The only character who really does have a vendetta against Howler is Charming Man (which is why he will be the first one to job). I think a dynamic like this works well for the part, with it already establishing the protagonists as criminals, there's no need for moralfagging (although some moralfagging is inevitable). I think most people hoping for Howler to be the main villain are thinking along the same lines as I am - they want to see them grow into the role as the story progresses, and their rivalry with Jodio's gang escalates to an all out blood feud.

That example is ACTUAL slideshow animation with shifting assets and low-quality off-kilter character models. The thing that makes the Part 2 anime so special is that it's arguably the only DP Jojo adaptation that just full-on improves on the source material. With every other Part, you could just read the manga and get a better experience.
