In both interviews and the show, everyone acts like there were no after-effects and she was a completely normal girl, even though during most of the show they really don't write her such. It really all comes down to them wanting to end on the "simple" message of respecting each other's wishes and parting ways, like Satoko is fine now that she let Rika go. Rather than treating everythig with the weight it needed (but then you'd need a completely different conclusion and moral that R07 clearly didn't consider).
