Why do people act as if King Crimson is some impossible to understand Stand? He picks two points of time and then deletes the time inbetween
Now admittedly you do just have to kind of roll with it, but it's Jojo, it's not a gritty realistic show. But I always see "but how does King Crimson work!111!!!!"
Or is it some weird in-joke and I'm being trolled?

I picked 2 points between ur moms legs and stick my dick in

but King Crimson would've deleted the time, so no dick

People just got confused when we only had Duwang tier translations for the manga
>>
1. The original translations were god awful
2. It's harder to understand in a manga format where the time between panels is already abstract. It's normal to see a panel where someone is standing in one spot, followed by a panel of them standing somewhere else. The reader just assumes the character walked there in the "time" between panels. King Crimson's powers have to be depicted in a way that implies the jump between panels is unnatural through things like Narancia appearing confused that he suddenly has chocolate in his mouth, but that isn't always obvious to the reader.

King Crimson doesn't delete the affected time period. Within that period, every living thing acts as if King Crimson's power hadn't been activated.
>>
Because every time it's used it's slightly different.
>in the hotel it's just the world
>in the elevator bucciarati had no reaction to trish being abducted, while narancia and mista DID have reactions out on the docks but just forgot
>bucciarati sees himself for some reason
>diavolo could interact with narancia to kill him when other times he couldn't interact during king crimson

Yes, it depends on Fate. This is what confuses people, because most of us don't believe fate exists in real life so we project it onto Jojo. This is why Diavolo can do Fated actions the original Diavolo would already do AND activate King Crimson's power to separate himself from those actions.

I also didn't understand the fate shit in SBR, they HAD to fight because dude fate? Maybe you have to be japanese

uh I don't think that's how King Crimson works...

1, 2, 4 are mostly* explained by everything fated happening anyway, including actions Diavolo would have taken if he didn't use King Crimson. Using Epitaph allows him to see the flow of fate, and then King Crimson allows himself to exempt himself from its flow, and then erase the time inbetween leaving BOTH fated consequences and Diavolo's movement.
3 is directly explained, since Diavolo tells Bucciarati he was allowing him to see Epitaph. It's weird but he projected an image of the future he was about to erase to Bucciarati instead of just seeing it himself (we later learn it's projected onto his hair).

*The ONLY weird thing is why Bucciarati has no reaction to the time skipping in the elevator, but since it took Narancia and Mister a moment to realize, perhaps Bucciarati didn't move very much. This IS weird though, because it is the originally fated actions of Diavolo which abduct Trish, so you'd think Bucciarati would detect this, move to stop him, but then since King Crimson is activated we'd be left with only the consequences and Bucciarati would notice he moved (maybe reaching out to grab or punch original Diavolo). The fact that he just stands there implies that there was a fated outcome where original Diavolo somehow broke into the elevator, chopped off Trish's hand and stole her away, and he did so so stealthily, Bucciarati never realized and was still stock still, holding her severed hand. That one part is a fuck up, but everything else makes sense. Everyone notices they skipped and moved when Narancia was killed, which could easily be an original version where Diavolo suddenly grabs or punches Narancia into those railings in a second or so.

Gold Experience Requiem also fits into this by the way. It doesn't prevent a fate from existing. It just refuses to allow you to reach it, so Diavolo can't reach the end of that fate and then erase it. He can't reach the consequences and be left with them. The whole putting him in an eternal hell of different possible fates is kind of weird though, and is probably there because Araki is a vengeful man who wishes to punish evil beyond all proportion in order to stamp it out completely.
>>
>>284561596
It's partially because the original translation was really bad and partially because of what >>284561933 said. Araki just hadn't settled on exactly how he wanted the powers to work yet and that causes confusion
>>
>>284561596
His power just does what the writer wants it to, that's all.

That's definitely Star Platinum
>dude star finger
>>
>>284562470
At the time, changing the shape/size of your stand was something everybody could do, so theoretically anybody with a humanoid stand could use the finglonger. Same reason Kakyoin and Polnareff can shrink in size to suit their mood.

>Now admittedly you do just have to kind of roll with it
If you know this, what are you confused about? People get invested in the minutia and argue about it.
