I still don't know how to feel about Amoru's role in all this. She feels like a character that would have worked better for one of those side quests. Yugure gets the main love interest treatment right to the end and Amoru getting added in a last-minute threesome feels like the writers not knowing what other ending to give Amoru after they had her as the third wheel for the entire series. But what's the point of it if Akira and Yugure will live on for centuries while Amoru will grow old and die? It's basically reaffirming that her entire purpose is to be an accessory and nothing more.

It's early episodic parts don't work thanks to the meek MC who lacks agency and the complete lack of an arc he or anyone else goes through, the plot episodes don't work due to either being contradicting to stuff we've previously learned (like trying to whitewash OWEL from all it's crimes with it's quirky leader) or trying to draw sympathy for psychopathic tech engineers responsible for the death of millions and the permanent enslavement of mankind. Problems too big for a how this uncaring about anything to interact with so the entire cast sorta just forgets about it. I love slow anime filled with dialogue but if the show was gonna be about so little I wish they just used it's good production values to do a 12 episode series about all of the Towasabots and them fighting for humanity, the action in this show is basically all it had going for it.
