What are you guys reading?I'm currently reading Thermodynamics but thinking of starting FotNS
reading the thread of some dumbass on a right now
Nothing really. I was rereading One Piece a couple weeks ago and stopped at Impel Down. Might come back to it later. Otherwise I just read One Piece and JoJo with their weekly and monthly release. I've been in this game for so long that I don't want to read the sissy stuff and since there's more sissy stuff than anything else... well I don't read much anymore
>>284575527I’ve finished Usogui and I think I need to do a reread. So much of tower of karma and STL went over my head, this series has some of the most complicated foreshadowing I’ve seen
>>284575527I binged through 8 volumes of Dead Dead Demon's Dededede Destruction yesterday and have to say it's preddy good.I've got the first volume of Stop!! Hibari-Kun and the 16th volume of REAL to read next,.
>>284575527I started the Denpa Onna light novels recently
I don't know if this is the place talk about it but I don't feel like making a thread that would just die anyway so I'll talk about what I WATCHED instead.Becuase I got the bluray of Project A-Ko and I loved it.>the space-ship and mech designs>the fanservice>the high school girl who's built like a Fist of the North Star character>the strangely emotional song that plays when B-Ko is lesbian lusting after C-KoIt's just a delightful movie and I wish we as a society could go back to when shit like this got madehttps://www.youtube.com/watch?v=GtW00tNzrmM
>>284575527going through all the COTE novels, first time any book has really caught my interest
>>284577285What's a "COTE"?
>>284577446Classroom of the Elite
>>284575527Less actively reading and more waiting for the next chapter>Under Ninja>Dai Dark>JoJo part 9>Bugle Call>Tower dungeon>Hoshi-kui Koroshi Egnaro (before it got axed)>some of the current shonenshit like Midulo (which I actually like better than the original jjk) and One Piece and CSM, the latter two mostly out of sunken cost fallacy. The last finished manga I read in one go was Mahoutsukai to Aka no Pilgrim
>>284575527Nothing at the moment, but I'll probably finish Psyren soon because of the anime adaptation.
>>284575527What a coincidence, I'm reading hokuto no ken right now. It's interesting to see just where shonen that came later got their inspirations, especially jojo. I will say, the plot is... OK. I like how the author isn't afraid to show passion and emotion in characters, but the chapters all blend together.I DO like the pacing. Fights don't take 10 chapters of exposition, and when you see a plot thread coming that you know even the author himself doesn't want to follow through on, the author will just... drop it. Pretty funny in a way.I caught up with Gachiakuta. I gave it a second chance because calliope mori sang one of the anime's OPs, and yes that persuaded me because I'm a faggot. It's also just...OK. The artstyle carries it hard. What I do like is that the author went with the not often seen trope of having a seemingly random villain do a heel face turn and become the main girl. I love when that happens.I also read:>Jinsei GyakutenIt's REALLY bad. Like BAD bad. It's super melodramatic and really, REALLY wants you to feel bad for the MC and hate that evil meanie GF of his. Comes off as incredibly cheap. The author gave the cheating GF some nuance too by explaining how she was exhausted by the MC's faggot behavior and then gets exploited by a senpai, but she gets shit on hard anyway, which was funny, but the problem is that I wasn't even really mad at the GF because I don't give a damn about the dickless MC and I could, in some sense, see her side of the story too. Of course the MC is immediately gets handed a 10/10 cutie girl who is mean to EVERYONE except him because he's... le nice. Oh and she gets over wanting to jump off the roof after two seconds when the MC fees her some platitudes that anyone could have said, how nice! The biggest problem however, is that it wants its payoff too soon. It takes zero time to build anything up and immediately gets to the 'good stuff', but the problem is that the good stuff is only good when you build up to it.
