There's no "orcs are the real victims" plot, there are no shitskin elves injected into it for the sole reason of niggering up something european (very semitic that), and there's no retarded gimmick about someone reincarnating from japan. It basically takes Elrond's warning to Arwen from LOTR and makes it the plot. What happens when the female elf has to continue living after the death of her hero. I suppose Lodoss War hints at this too, but Frieren made it the core conceit.
