Tbh the rebuilds are just a missed opportunity, they were supossed to be a new take on eva but they ended being the same but with some new unnecessary characters like mari and worse visuals and presentation and changes to the character arcs like asuka arc for example.It felt like they didn't change enough but the things they still changed, were for the worse.
