Pegasus was fun and I think it was good that he survived in the anime. DDM was good for an attempt at trying something again that wasn't Duel Monsters. I like the Virtual World arcs for being some kind of isekai plot for Yugioh. Orichalcos had too much high stakes for being filler and the Leviathan and Orichalcos clash too muchThe orichalcos arc had too much with the lore.

Giving the main cast a bit more personality and establishing their relationships first would have been better if they were rebooting the series anyway. I thought the Noah arc and the Orichalcos arc were mostly fine. Noah should have happened after Battle City though, so as to not ruin the pacing. Orichalcos had a lot of really stupid plot contrivances. Mai suddenly turning evil was also terrible, as was the inclusion of Weevil and Rex. But seeing Yugi lose for once was great and the duels were so over the top brutal that it was fun. The tournament filler arc afterwards should have been cut though.

Started watching Duel Monsters after finishing Toei's adaptation, and I wonder what the hell happened to the VAs. New cast is genuinely horrible, and Yugi's seiyuu sounds like he's been screaming for several hours straight before recording his lines. I might get around Jounouchi, Honda, Anzu, and Kaiba eventually, they're still bad, but not terrible. Yugi on the other hand is nails on a chalkboard no matter how many tries I give it. My only options are switching to manga, muting the audio every time Yugi opens his mouth, or muting the sound outright. How is nobody ever mentioning it?
