Is it worth rewatching?

Most likely. It's Kugimiya Rie in one of her most iconic roles, the writing and character arcs are actually very well done, the music is fire, the animation isn't too shabby in the later seasons, and Shana is hot.
I'm a little afraid to rewatch it because I'm afraid of spoiling my childhood memories of watching and enjoying it so much.

I am an episode 2 now and its still as confusing as ever
I didn't remember most of the things tho
Maybe i am a torch myself

I think if you grew up with this era of anime Shana will always be good. They just don't make shows with that everything becomes dark and mysterious at night kind of vibe anymore.

Shana was such an asshole

> shana changes her clothes while explaining the fundaments of their world
How the fuck am i suppose to concentrate on it while showing her sexy body?

nah. it's one of those shows you watch once and realize it's just 'okay' and never touch again.

Season 1 is a comfy simple... supernatural romance drama, with action, anime.
>Great, unique, catchy, and memorable soundtrack (Mami Kawada + gothic)
>Amazing female representation with tons of good strong female characters
>unique MC vehicle with both Yuji and Shana acting as MC's, so half female lead
>extremely tasteful fanservice
>classic tsundere love
>pretty cool world and power system
>battles are great and not determined by "power levels"; purely combat
>and of course, Shana, THE reason to watch Shana
>endless amount of Shana art and merch

Though, the flaws are there:
>Yuji has been very dulled out compared to his LN self and as a MC he is just not that interesting or relatable. You really get that he's supposed to be as invisible and inoffensive as possible to give Shana all the spotlight and not offend Shana's waifufags. He's so dull in the anime, despite being Shana's love interest, you really just don't respect their romance that much, and so most of the romance drama falls flat because you know Yuji is cardboard and it's really just there to see Shana being cute and lovey dovey for the viewer
>It's definitely a DRAMA. lots of dialogue and it can be melodramatic/unnecessary
>Slow at times
>All the strong female characters are great but sometimes their WOMANness gets a bit much (Wilhelmina is the biggest culprit)
>standard JC staff animation. It's consistent enough but it's nothing super beautiful outside of some Shana's key scenes which they put more effort in. Season 1 suffers from that 06ish "bug eyes" design
>plot as a hole just takes too long to get going. So much so, that season 1 has no room to get to all the much cooler stuff and more, so it feels very contained and small scale. As a result, season 1 is "good but nothing special"
Season 2 is 95%/5% crap to amazing, and Season 3 is a great mess (but great).

season 3's animation does get vastly better, compared to season 1's generic JC staff with bug eyes (see image)

the only season i don't like is 3, but it's only because it's incredibly mid and 90% of the conflict can be resolved by just talking to each other, as the last episode clearly shows. But as a light novel show and seeing how the relationships develop over time, I think it still holds up for a rewatch

the content of season 3 is great, but the pacing is awful and that's because of shit season 2.

this shit got me to unironically watch the entire tsukihime anime because even if it was a total piece of shit compared to the VN it had enough of that atmosphere to let me hatewatch it just to say I've seen it you got any good recs for this kinda vibe besides the super obvious shit

it is distilled redhead tsundere in its most primal form after Asuka. I just wish they completed the adaptation, but never did, so still plan to do some reading after finishing it. The earlier stuff were much better than the later stuff as far as an adaptation goes, but there are good things in the later parts too.
