>>284614894Well for one thing because that's from a movie where the standards for production are quite different. Another thing after the shift to digital there were some changes in how things were done because of what was easier and what was more difficult to do. With digital when it was starting out it was slightly more complicated to have separate layers as compared to cels and a multiplane camera. With older cel animation it was quite simple to make a single high quality larger background, and have all of the action happen in front of it on a different plane. The parallax and depth of a scene was built in with the equipment. With early digital having multiple layers was put into a different part of the process. That change in the work structure altered what people would focus on. One of the bigger changes was actually how scenes were lit, as cels need a backlight but digital frees you up to light a scene however you want. That freedom drastically altered the style of anime because people no longer had to rely upon specific consistent tricks.
