Good episode! Mousse being so pathetically petty is great. Overall I'd say that the second season was an improvement on the first, despite a couple of shaky episodes. This episode felt a bit overly sentimental for a series like Ranma, honestly - I suppose they wanted there to be some sort of emotional payoff to close off S2. Still, I think they nailed the comedic timing with a lot of the gags, so I'll forgive it.

Unfortunately, due to the wish to introduce all the major characters in this season, as well as some strange choices motivated by promos, there was a very large amount of sluttiness and whoredom in this season (if you know what I mean) which really leaves a bad taste in your mouth. Spamming Shitpoo and then introducing Happosai at the same time was too much for one season. While this isn't an issue which should recur, it did have a negative impact on my enjoyment of this season. My hope is that as MAPPA gains more comfortability with the show, they introduce more original Rankane content and minimize the screentime of the other "suitors". This will balance out the very inevitable cuts they will have to make to reach the end of the series in a timely fashion.Overall, Akane-enjoyers and Rankane fans should have much to look forward as we head in Season 3. And really, these are the only people who matter at the end of the day.
