Yeah, Inner Light was such a hype track for the pinnacle of the fight. It's one of the finest examples how an anime can elevate the source material. I also love how they used that fight scene and song during the prologue of the followup Ippo movie, without any of the inner dialogue.

YEAH! you can just see it in it's clear, and just being like "Yeah, remember how fucking this was?!" Like I was so sad when Ippo lost to that world champion guy, but then it somehow elevated the next big fight to even bigger highs! Just completely made for the perfect finale. And seeing everything he combined over the season into one.

For me it's the whole sequence from Ippo going down for the first time to him getting up from the second down and Eternal loop kicking in while Ippo barely survives. Absolutely amazing
