>>284640831Jump is fucking dead and Japan is entering western remake sequel hell, lagging behind the cultural degeneration of the west 10-20 years as usual.
>>284640991>Japan is entering western remake sequel hellWell this is not a sequel anon. Its says "shin KochiKame"
>>284641071Good point.
do Japanese zoomzooms and gen alpha even know what kochikame is?
>>284640831Who even asked for this?
>>284642020me
who's gonna voice Rixyoutu Kan'kiti?
>>284641611Kochikame ended while haikyuu was running. It lasted 40+ years. I'm sure a chunk of zoomers were aware of it
>>284642037>just a fucking picture as background>can't even get the eyebrows rightit's already over
>>284641611>Do young people know about things that their parents watched/read and were culturally important for decades
>>284642513the answer is no by the way
>>284640831just give us subs for the old anime and have this cover unadapted chapters only
>>284640991Kochikame kept getting tv specials up to 2016.>Jump is fucking dead This is the actual problem though. Current Jump being unable to launch big new series, so you see them pushing for remakes of old stuff while they used to be one of the biggest companies behind adaptations of new series.>>284642658The OG anime was a very loose adaptation of the manga. Although apparently a lot of it was due to fear of offensive jokes and using copyrighted material, so they quickly moved mostly to anime original content. I doubt a newer show will do better in those fronts...
Neat.Guessing Hana no Keiji has an anime coming too, its suddenly getting licensed in a few places.
>>284640991Japan making remakes is nothing new newfag, in the 90s and 00s there were already a lot of remakes.
>>284643534prease understandcasuals just consume whatever is airing and have no interest in anything made before they were born unless they have the assurance of a hundred thousand of MAL users that's its one of the best of the best, and also that it's short enough to binge watch
