And it can't work to open next season as is because of how Yuri's post-mole arc wrap up chapter has too many inconsistencies with it. After she introduced Melinda, Yor was barely more than a supporting character for the next few years. But she's still the third part of the family, so he could have given her storylines that tied her to the Forgers and went deeper into that instead of waiting so long to make another assassin arc that put her loyalties to the test.

As for writing and illustrating the actual killing part of her job without putting people off, it’s not like anybody getting into this series doesn’t already know to expect that from her, it’s part of the premise and the appeal of the series. Hell, if Axeman could write it darker and bloodier he would.
