It's really goofy and stupid from a serious standpoint, but the sprawling world + all the rupes make autists happy and excited to engage with the product because they can nitpick and argue about minute details. Add in that you can pretend you're the guy who gets to fuck Saber and is it really that much of a surprise to you that a majority of its fans (who come from 15-20 years ago netd pools) would love it so much?
