He's shown he's capable of that quality of art but he's clearly taking it easy most of the time and toned down the overall detail after the first few volumes. Not that I blame him. Horikoshi was probably destroying himself doing MHA the way he did. I know Ishida was while making Tokyo Ghoul.

>>284674938Gege unironically.Horikoshi can do a lot of elaborate rendering on a weekly schedule, which is impressive, but Gege can put more dynamic movement on the page with just a few lines thn any other WSJ artist currently. It's a travesty that the editors allowed him to bring in a substitute for the sequel instead of just moving him to a monthly schedule .
