depends on the current ranking used for seeding - they are close to the top right now, but they were both ranked in the 20's in the past (so outside of a possible pot 1 place).

Something similar happened in 2022, with Japan, Spain, and Germany in a group with Costa Rica. Germany was #1 before the WC 2018, plummeted to #15 after a bad WC and a ranking method change, and was outside of the pot 1 teams in 2022. And then pic related happened in the last match day.
