This is the most "I'm so mature for my age" anime in existence.
its just fun
What does that even mean
>>284699427>I'm so mature to have this opinion that of Mushishi - the post
Mushi propaganda is disgusting
it's supposed to be a chill healing show
It actually felt like the opposite to me. It felt like something I'd write in middle school.>cool guy that knows basically everything comes across a problem>Yes, that's caused by [generic mushi name] and you solve it by [bizarre ritual]>move onto the next locationHe doesn't cleanly solve every issue but the series really does get repetitive.
>>284699427You are just retarded
>>284699663I didn't finish the series because it felt so repetitive so i agree. It's like an episodic series stretched out the little narrative it has.
Anon is plagued by Mushi that cause him to make bad posts
It's just a relaxing series.
>>284699427No, that would be Evanescence.
>>284699655>>284699881Incomprehensible cosmic horrors randomly fucking people up with no recourse is NOT comfy
>>284699427There was a user who went by Jacklinger on a dead website called FormSpring back in 2011 and 2012 who used that same white haired character as his fpfp.
>>284699427
>>284699427No, it's just objectively fantastic.
The human drama in the episodes is lifelike. Not stupid, not childish, not fetishized, believable characters to people who have live a bit a life.
The manga is slightly better, because it contains more recurring character moments, but yes it is a very "im 14 and this is deep" anime. Cool concept but wasted by not containing any real substance. We aren't searching for an answer. We aren't trying to eliminate Mushi. We aren't trying to catalogue and discover new Mushi (99% of the Mushi encountered he knows about by reading about them in books before-hand). There is no goal. The live action film is the perfect adaptation in my opinion, because 2 hours is all the series really contains in terms of value. Everything else is just fluff. Hell Girl is the closest equivalent I can think of, that did this type of story correctly. It is primarily an anthology, but comes with a payoff at the end.
