When I watch other anime the characters just stand there, with maybe the OCCASIONAL animated cut. K-On! is the first anime show where the characters look and feel like real living people. I honestly think it ruined anime for me. Well, TV anime specifically - some movies are still good, at least.

Whenever I try to watch other anime all I can think is "I'm basically watching a slideshow audio drama".I know anime isn't supposed to be always animated and that's kind of what set it apart from Western cartoons, but K-On! managed to be animated WHILE having the higher detail and cinematography that makes anime unique.>>284710309Dunno what Digi means, but its basically the best anime of all time unless you're allergic to slice of life. Season 1 has flaws but S2 and the movie are masterpieces. Takes you on a comprehensive journey through the entire highschool life of the Light Music Club.
While K-ON is high quality, the idea that you think characters actually moving and not just standing still all the time is some marvel makes me think you haven't seen much anime.
Kyoani in general ruined anime for me, I'm sad that no studio actually learned much from it and uped it's production
