Why did this series have the most awful discussions when it encourages thoughtful and purposeful dialogue?
>>284715695even picrel caused so much seething among pseuds and edgelords. people just hate any +ve thing and act all anti-human for lulz
>>284715695>when it encourages thoughtful and purposeful dialogue? It doesn't.>Why did this series have the most awful discussionsBecause of pretentious people like you.
>>284715720We found the one
>why doesn't a website dedicated to shitposting and contrarianism have intelligent discussion?gee I wonder why
>>284715803There are plenty of series that get really nice discussions. I've been apart of them. This series in particular just attracted some of the worst people to it.
What this series had good discussionsWhy are you lying
>>284715695It's impossible for americans to engage in media without looking at it through their political prism.
>>284715695Some people are simply too closed-minded for the kind of thoughtful and purposeful dialogue it encourages.
>>284715695That's the one with factual inaccuracies regarding the roman catholic church, right?
>>284715695>encourages thoughtful and purposeful dialogueIt's about killing everyone that disagrees with you.
>>284716324Yeah, it's the Reddit-tier athiest shit that kids and e-celebs think is deep because it sounds like a Reddit Athiest video from 2010 so it makes them feel smart.Apparently the key is to just play on historical misconceptions and moralize about it to make normies think you're intelligent.
>>284715695NANDO DEEEEEEEEEEMO
>samefagging that hard already
this anime peaked with badeni, i hated the gypsy arc
>>284716374Pretty much this, the third arc killed the series after a good second arc.
>>284716424I think it's universally agreed that the third arc was the weakest out of the 4
>>284715695Because it's one of those dumb author tries to write smart characters situations, the writing and dialogues are fucking trite and tedious.
Why didn't the author redeem nowakHe quite literally did everyone but him
>>284716494Why would he redeem the only one who didn't have any sort of realization on his actions?
>>284716532I dont know cuz he's a good dude, like he's a family man but the author tries to paint him as the devil
>>284716440There was a fourth part? We're counting the epilogue as that?
>>284716546>paint him as the devilNot really, he genuinely believes he's doing the right thing by upholding order and protecting his loved ones up until the very end where he realizes he wasted his life.
>>284716546He's shown the error of his ways many times but chooses to stay where he is comfortable rather than challenging the conflicting information. He sees each narrator: hubert, rafal, and their sacrifices. He gets shaken by Rafal's choice. He sees badeni and oczky, his daughter chose their demise. He has the ability to question all of them but when confronted with his own morality after the gun powder and fire incident he still chooses the comfort in going with what he knows. I think it's a nice choice to not have him redeemed but rather show realistic human choices
>>284716324It's not actually a representation of official Vatican policy, it was just one polish bishop having a seething hatred against heliocentrism because he was an astronomer once and going on a personal vendetta against it, this was the big reveal in the climax. There might have been other inaccuracies I guess
>>284716494>>284716659He basically did redeem him in the speech with the ghost though
>>284715715People hated this because the whole final arc was very very very badly written.Thorfin’s ideology should’ve been challenged and evolved during the series instead of just setting for the full pacifism without a middle ground.
>>284718239This. And the events happen at a time where the church WAS corrupt enough that it caused a massive schism because the clerical class was able to rule like pseudo feudal lords in places and pull shit like this at a whim. Now, the story fails to accurately depict medieval poland in other ways, and it would have been much greater of a product if it had done so properly but that just makes it a weak period piece, the story and its themes are still solid.
>>284718412Honestly that's my only problem the story feels more like it should have taken place in iberia or something rather than poland. It doesn't bother me that much, but yeah.
Sex with Rafal
