Light should've won. He understood what needed to be done to cleanse this rotten world from all the scum that's actively making it a worse place to live in. >b-but he was a mass murdererThe ends justify the means.
If they invented time travel in 2006 why'd they let a 13 year old use it and why'd you come here and not the end of the world or something
>>284719097Almost all the people he killed were in prison, not actively doing anything.
L didn't even win, his deus ex machina successors did.
>>284719324This.
>>284719324>>284719351you didn't read the manga, did you
>>284719097>The ends justify the means.all those "scum" thought the same thing
>>284719324he only lost because of deus ex machina so it evens out
>>284719097I wish Light was real, then our world would've been a lot more better. There would be 0 racism, 0 hatred, 0 mishappenings, 0 crime, 0 corruption, 0 terrorists, 0 scammers, 0 kidnappings, 0 assaults, 0 political circus, 0 gangs, 0 serial killers, 0 fraud, 0 manipulation, 0 fake news, 0 propaganda, 0 online predators, 0 doxxing, 0 clout-chasing drama, 0 harassment, 0 extremism, 0 cults, 0 cartels, 0 blackmail, 0 extortion, 0 hate mobs, 0 riots, 0 bribed officials, 0 corporate greed, 0 corrupt leaders, 0 workplace abuse, 0 degeneracy, 0 mass stupidity, 0 chaos of any kind.
>>284719097Except he did. He actually won and even after he was gone, people still feared and respected Kira.
>>284719097How did he become so cool, anon?
This is the best ending to mehttps://youtu.be/TE6beI7AVc4
>>284720478Well for starters he's actually a very compelling protagonist. Light actually has a spine, clearly defined goals and isn't afraid to get his hands dirty to accomplish them. He actually pushes the plot forward by himself and has a huge impact upon those around him. He even managed to outsmart his greatest foe (L) and came up on top until the author simply wanted him to fail despite having played his cards perfectly. Unfortunately, mainstream shounen stories just don't allow these types of characters to truly shine till the very end (see AoT for further reference). It really is tragic when you think about it.

>>284721218Exactly. Most similar character I've found is Griffith and even then he fails once he becomes Femto since its impossible to know how much was Griffith's own skill and how much was predetermined. From comics I think David Xanatos or Ozymandias may be the closest ones.
>>284719097Do you think Light would get along with salaryman Tanya?
