New chapter is finally out. Dumping the pages.
>>284721388>>284721433I think this is forshafowing that Hallow is gonna end up hurting himself badly in the future.
>>284721318>It's been so long since we've seen the MC the chapter needs a recap of where we left him
>>284721492There's our Hero....and Hallow/Pakka
>>284721553>Titans have manaBerserGODS stay winning
>>284721318Why does it take so long in between chapters?
>>284721603CHICCHI NO DON'T GO BACK TO THE FORREST CHICCHI
>>284721628Both the writer and the artist work on other mangas.
>>284721628Monthly chapters. ONE is also working on three stories at the same time, and the artist is working on two mangas at the same time, so everyone working on VERSUS is busy with other stuff.
>>284721677Deal with that, Parasite.Gaia's Wrath is underrated, no one is ready for the fucked up shit that exists in our own IRL fauna and flora at very small level, cranked up to 11.
>>284721728>Fungi will always just be fungiDon't jinx it BastzAlso I like how each of the forests act dufferently and even intrude on each other instead being their own self contained biome
>>284721790I'm starting to wonder if the curse did anything outside being used till humans killed too much life in that world.
>>284721633>>284721677There's missing pages inbetween these 21/2
>>284721831How is Bastz somehow cooler then every other human
>>2847218612/2
>>284721861>>284721883thanks
>>284721905>>>284721861>>284721883Thank you, anon.
>>284721553>titans can use magicI can imagine ginbak making fun of berser's magic tricks
>>284721831I hope that that's all the curse is, humans fucking themselves over because of greed is so much more kino than some random magic or eldritch fuckery.
>>284721883I wonder if he'll become an animal tamer or something, managing to ally with some gaia's wrath beasts
>>284721831The Lawless were already stretching the definition of “natural enemy” but come onI get how something like this would cause the extinction of humanity in isolation but the biosphere is now full of incredibly dangerous shit that you can turn into useful tools with no moral or practical qualms, get real
Final page. See you all next month.
>>284722067>>284722118ENTER
Merry Roachmas anons, have you been a good or bad demon this year?
>>284721633Bastz is like doraemon or dr who, whatever you want to call him
>>284722067>>284722118I'm calling allucination, also Zaybi's left hand seems disproportionally larger, dunno if it's intentional or perspective.
>>284722108Thus, it's the allied natural enemy.Using the dying monsters is a thing, but killing the soil itself only can bring hunger and death. That's probably he gave the explanation there.
>>284722206Probably just a mistake.
>>284721831This was implied the moment "the curse" were revealed to be just machines.
>>284722170Reminds me of Toriyama's avatar from what I've seen. It also bares resemblance to capsule corp stuff from dragon ball.
>>284722163I hope Roya isn't dead on the virtue that roaches are hard to kill. I'm grateful she lasted longer than Diganazal.
>>284722265Yeah the vehicles and the structures very much have a Toriyama design.
>>284721905I this scene was definitely a homage to tenkaichi’s first fight
>>284722330The Demon Flute Hallow has will summon the weakened Roya, believe it.
>>284722330Well we at least know she has alot of children so we could potentually see a mini roach
So what path willl the giants take now that we now they have mana
>>284722588Druid bullshit which allows them to control gaia's wrath animals
>>284721553>GoriJachi already killed him so they're good.
>>284722588Fist magic.Goes deeper fist, flying energy fists, area fists, hit the intangible fist, punches your soul fist.
>>284721318Who the heck are these guys?
>>284722929It's a random JRPG party: big monk to suplex the monsters, magic fencer, necromancer sumoner guy and a ranger.Fuck, why nobody has done an expanded Dragon Quest III like for this crap
>>284721677This tells me where are going to see a mountain of dead giants infected with fungi in the upcoming chapters. The spores had to have come from somewhere nearby.
>>284722108those same dangerous shit can and will use this technology to ravage the world and other beings. Imagine if the neo humans or lawless starts indiscriminately using that. It is an extremely dangerous tech, possibly the most dangerous if it has no limits of soul absorption
>>284723190The robots will be terrifying with soul containers. They are immune to it while everything else can be wiped out. They do not care if land is unable to grow crops. It will allow the machines to go scorched earth while empowering themselves.
>>284721318God damn, finally.It's been ages.
>>284721433>>284721492He's overworking himself and his body's gonna give, or breaking his limiter
>>284721831Huh, that's interesting. But with the world increasing in scope from the fusions, I wonder if the Curse will expand its influence or stay as just a static phenomenon. If it's the latter I can't see it turning into that big of a threat since you can just avoid it, but maybe it'll have some unforeseen fusions with other natural predators.
>>284722067>>284722118Oh you are fucked.
>>284722206If it was a hallucination, it would be of Jachi, not Galua
Fuck the humans, the real tragedy is all the monstergirls dying
>>284724142they were running away from galua not jachi, to him jachi fight was a thousand times worse
>>284724470Total Demon Girl Love
>>284723938To be honest if any natural enemy that isn't nature based learns to cultivate the curse it's pretty bad for humans
>>284722118Thanks for the dumpWhat do you think is happening next chapter?1. Hallow actually gets abducted (would be a new development)2. Hallow uses the demon whistle (doubt it, because demons vs aliens match has already happened twice not so long ago)3. Gigatilla saves the day (would be a good opportunity to show him off, but I doubt he's THAT strong)
>>284724532>they were running away from galuaAnd daikokuzan and the other aliens>to him jachi fight was a thousand times worseThat's exactly my point. If he was hallucinating he would imagine someone who mindbroke him aka Jachi, not someone he's probably don't even differenciate from the other aliens
https://x.com/Momon_Nemui/status/2000593928597487809
I wish there were more transhuman NEs, it'd be so fun to watch the demons job to like the OPM Monster association, demon slayer demons (especially Akaza), or even Griffith and his apostles. Their pride couldn't handle the thought that humans could even rise to become their equals, let alone beat them.
>>284721553thankfully for humans most titans are too unga bunga to use mana for anything more sophisticated than more unga bunga
>>284723938>>284724643There's no physical curse, it's just the consequences of consuming every resource due to human greed. It's just nanomachines that consume energy for a given purpose.
>>284722108The issue is that it’s a permanent loss. If only one person is using it recklessly, that’s bad but the world will be able to “tank it”, so to speak. The problem is when everyone in the world contributes to the problem without concern. If curse tech gets into the hands of enough of the Lawless, they won’t be as dangerous with it as a powerful Natural Enemy would be, but they’d be using it way more often and ruin the world faster than any other faction except for perhaps the Robots.
>>284723080Yeah, it’s a Chekhov’s gun, like the bear that was initially introduced as being from the Kaiju World was. It’s being introduced now just so that we know what to expect when it’s brought up again to try and combat a new dilemma the protags will face.
>>284721815I'm still expecting some megafauna from the fish or reptile side of Gaia to be capable of tanking the Parasite as long as the body is alive. Like how IRL Gators are full of worms and shit.
>>284722067I see some people theorize Zaybi is a demon who overwrote Hallow memory to groom him into a worthy foe
>>284722067>>284722118Ayy lmao...
>>284723080titans territory markers are just feeding gaia's wrath, someone stop those idiots
>>284725360So the curse technology is a metaphor of how humans are willing to destroy their environment to generate aislop
>>284721388>communication errorSo the info wasn't sent to Mother? That's pretty much the only thing that can beat the robots.
>>284725904Robot will just upgrade themselves to not use radio signal if they ever found out.
>>284721433I find the pig fairy disgusting.
>>284722118Calling it now, the Madaran isn't looking at Hallow. Its looking at the Tent because it detected curse tech just like how they chase down humans from their world that use too much technology. We'll probably also see them start going after Robots and whatever Game World is doing soon.
>>284726021yeah, definitely the ugliest mascot ONE has ever made
>>284726148
>>284726148Will Aliens fight Gaia?
>>284724884alien abducted hallow and made him stronger with alien tech just because they are curious about mana
>>284722118Alien powerup incoming, i can feel itOr a new arm, at the very least
>>284721318>gigatila already jobbed>gigatila is actually a dwarf giant, son of ginbakeither one of these will happen
The curse has probably spread beyond what humans control and why it's their NE (like psuedo gray goo). I really don't think it's going to be a matter of just stop using it now.
>>284721633>titans aren't active at night>they fall asleep the moment the sun setsthey really are based on shingeki no kyojin huh
My idea right now is that the Curse is basically a fifth fundamental force of the universe like gravity or electromagnestism that the scientists of other worlds haven't discovered, and that the humans from the Curse World started to tap into for their soul-based tech, but it got out of control, kind of like nuclear-force based tech that would start spreading uncontrolable radiations, but something more eldritch that affects the spiritual layer of the universe instead of the purely physical.
>>284723080>>284726570I predict Gigatila is going to be infected by the fungi, and he is going to be on a murder spree to form a mountain of corpses.
>>284727254I predict he'll also have been abducted by aliens and Hallow will find him on the ship.
why does ONE KEEPS killing cute girls...I'm still not over cockroach lady and monke lady...
>>284722366Good eye, I agreed>>284722588It was already known that all living beings have mana, people just kept arbitrarily saying that only applied to Sorcerion. We should end up with Lawless and Giants(specifically Berser at least) learning magic.
>>284727293He is not sparing anyone in this story. Kiva could have been the Tumblr sexy man of this series, but he is not alive anymore.
>>284727293If you've seen how ONE draws he doesn't design cute girls. It's all the artists that work with him that turn his dirt to gold. She was just a cockroach monster that was slated to be killed in his vision.
>>284726205thinking about samone legs
>>284727482As we all should
>>284722330>>284722163SSSSSSEX
>>284727690Agreed
>>284727482HEEHEESHAMONE
>>284726021At least he is useful
>>284722588No. Everyone other than robot has mana(aka life force). And that does not meant anyone can use magic immediately.
>>284721318>>284721492>>284721831I wonder if there are more alive people from the Curse world.Bastz doesn't seem like a guy that was a happy about his world getting fucked up, but if there are any more experienced Curse users that just want to watch the world burn then we might see some absolute cinema once they consume an alien
>>284726247They presumably already did and got btfo.
>>284721815I'm thinking Gaia could conceivably adapt to the parasite, maybe it already contains an organism that can kill or poison the parasite.
>>284721318thanks,fag
No way I'm not representing in a Versus thread.Merry Christmas and good night bros, zzz.
>>284728413I betting there will be either evil curse people who act like the lawless bros or like soul gadgets that gained sentience that order people around
>>284721633>they turn into sexy female titans at night
>>284722330>>284722526>>284725117>>284725255I haven't read Versus but I've seen this bug girl get posted all over the place. Is she just an actual recurring character or just a one-off with a popular design like Aura from Frieren?
>>284722588>>284722607Having mana doesn't necessarily mean they can do magic, it's probably just the source of the Titans's extreme speed, strength, and toughness.
>>284729265She's in three issues or so. 27-29 I think.
>>284727293Because he's the Natural Enemy of women, all the girls that are spared in the OPM manga, he just kills in the webcomic, he probably made Versus just so he could kill more girls.
>>284721633>How am I supposed to eat this?>you don eat it silly, why would you eat a suppository
>>284727293ONE probably thinks cute girls and fan services are a distraction to his interesting story telling.
>>284727293He traded the coomer part of his brain for interesting stories
When the fuck is the video game threat going to show up?They never showed up again after the introduction of all the worlds.
>>284722330too fat. only makes sense shes dead
>>284729943It's the curveball that comes when it's the most effective.
>>284729265She's basically a one shot character but she's cute so we like her.Like mosquito girl from opm without being revived by murata
>>284729943The people from that universe are the only ones that seem totally broken.
>>284721633>get in the pod>take your appetite suppressors heh
>>284721831I love he explained it, never trusted this creepy fuck but if he is this open about it that means he isn't bad.
>>284730327Secretly they are the strongest humans
>>284730711They might be hyper competent when it comes to playing the game. Otherwise they can barely function.
>>284730711They have OP video game powers, but their too retarded to use them.
>>284730183Artist?
>>284729265She’s basically like aura, but she also has the most fanart out of any character in this series
>>284730543I trust Bastz but the world he comes from is one where all life has basically gone extinct, or is about to. And from the sound of it, it was humans who were responsible. We already see retards like the Lawless using the cursed tech irresponsibly. Bastz knows where that road leads. He doesn't have as much sympathy for humans as others might.
>>284722118Ok so hollows getting probed
>>284722118Why does he look mad as fuck?
>>284731992Either he doesn’t like how his pew was deflected, or he just found uki’s rotting corpse
Thanks for posting! I love reading Versus, I only got into it a couple weeks ago, and I'm hooked, and sad that I've caught up, it's dominating my minds real estate. Jachi is my favourite.
>>284731992Madalans did almost destroy the human base, and he knows that they plan to kill all humans, and it just told him he's coming with him, he knows it's probably gonna kill him and his friends no matter what happens so he might as well fight.

>>284721603That's a real ONE face
>>284721677so this is terraria
>>284732559Thats true actually, forgot the Evil Maws Roar guy actually fought against Hallow and wasnt neg diffed, he was kinda mid diffed
post your underrated favourite page
>>284732793Hes making that black streamer guy face
>>284732793The joy of that smile while her mind-broken slaves repeat the same 3 lines, it made me fall in love with Versus
>>284733266She got Ginbrapped
>>284733342ONE always has such good deaths for Versus, Dignazal was crushed in her own mechsuit, Roya was tricked into a trap that used her own signature technique as bait, ONE loves irony.
>>284721677The kind of shit you'd run into in Made in Abyss
>>284722067>>284722118This is an enemy that Hallow squad can't defeat
>>284722118I hope Hallow's anus stays safe
>>284732982
>>284732793Now you can't unsee it.You're welcome
>>284734195I can't fucking believe he used his scrying spell to look under Roachmom's skirt while she was fighting the robots..
>>284722262This reminded me of Dark Sun; this technology is like the magic of the defilers.>>284723681Since the curse messed up even the sun, I don't think only life is compromised by it; it probably removes energy and renders materials useless. The curse seems to be a super-accelerated entropy that was useful for powering the machines in Bastz's universe, but it got out of control and started corroding his entire universe.
>>284729943That's what you get when you have a MONTHLY manga(with a shitload of breaks) that has like over 20 fucking factions
>>284734260Dude his orb was in the car
I love the aliens, they're such absolute bags of shit. And what can REALLY stop them except God and Godzilla
>>284733589what could have monkey done different to have ginbak spare her life?
>>284735548Submit to BTC
>>284733266Dying so quickly was not what she needed. Trapped in some giant cave without any servants and poor conditions would have made a better punishment for her. Death or something more useful could happen later.
>>284735579Didnt realize Ginbak was a kpop stan
I feel like Ginbak is a nonchalant dreadhead, he's chill. Remember when the titans had to be diverted, and they were so aggressive that they started splattering all the humans even after the calming spell? I dont think Ginbak would do that
>>284735753Coming up with scheme after scheme to kill Ginbak but he's too retarded and strong too even notice, whenever she tries to teach/explain something, Ginbak just looks confused and repeats a confused misunderstood nonsense version of what she said, infuriating her, she tries to dumb it down only for the same thing to happen again, and Berser dumbs down her dumb downed explanation, Ginbak chortles and tells her she should have just said that, her eyes are bulging out of her head in rage, the veins on her head are about to burst, and her left eye is twitching as she forces out a 'yes, boss' or something her pet hero should survive though, so he can be kept as a basically a doll to complain, shout, and cry atreally I just can't think of a reason why he would do it though, Ginbak would definitely rather eat her or kill her just to make her shut up
>>284729943It'll be funny if it flips the table on all the typical power scaling.
>>284729943That's going to be the hard counter for this smug kamigaki, trust the plan.
>>284736469Makes sense, God seems to be just searching for fun stuff to do, so once he gets hooked on video games it's over, would it last forever though? Seems like a temporary solution.
>>284736608It depends on what the video game world's actually like, but imo it'll probably end up temporary because there are still equivalent threats like Daikokuzan that are going to eventually demand his involvement one way or another. The game should take him out of the running for at least a while though given it managed to mindbreak its world's whole human population as hard as it has.
>>284721883The way he hides behind the rock while pulling the thorns is surprisingly moe.
>>284727293>roya survives by shedding her exoskeleton and digging under ground >now left in a weakened state, having no army, or castle and in a position where a human could actually kill her > in shedding her exoskeleton also lost nyudo’s mark, meaning she cant ask for helpor> isekaid away
Just finished my shift. Was looking forward to this the entire time I spent in that hellhole today. Just want to say I fucking LOVE you fags before passing out in 20 minutes.
>>284736943Shit wrong bread my bad
>>284728154Madalans are also mostly/totally without it according to Jachi.
>>284736943>>284736987It's okay anon I love you toosmooooooooch
>>284736943Love you too anon, merry christmas.
>>284732209In peak condition against base form? maybe but it's a low chance. Decent chance if the others join him, since i can imagine the soul container being capable of a decisive blow.If it pulls out a space plate i'm pretty sure they're all fucked, but the soul container is the mystery facto given what we know of its powers.
>>284729943I'm maintaining my bet that game world is going to be the greatest of monkey pawsAllows you to obtain great power by "betting" what you have, but the more power you gain the more you need to bet, and once you've obtained any power you need to keep betting and playing or it gradually takes everything from you.To current humanity seeking hope this would be the ultimate addiction.
Here's my Game World theory>go 100 chapters into versus>every single NE has encountered each other and figured out each other>humand have sudden realization that they haven't encountered the game yet>game world resets everyone back to the start>now all losses and changes over the world have been reset>but everyone starts out with all the knowledge they've gained>level 2>repeats again>level 3>repeated reset of the world and repeated losses of loved ones mind breaks people
ONE better bet on OPM instead of this, the early hype is so fucking dead lmao
>>284738102Underage b&
>>284738136Cope
I hope the demon king is a muscle woman
>>284738157The demon king might be dead already if nobody knows what he's up to. I never trust a character who is supposed to be strong but hasn't appeared several years into a series.
>>284738102nah nothing really happened this chapter so the thread is kinda dead, last chapter had a big thread because it wasn't about one-arm and the other nobodies
>>284737544How are the arbiter fair in the world of versus?
>>284729943>video game world shows up>it's just /v/
I am still betting on the World Tree humans being a bunch of loyal cultists to their natural enemy, they did the merge world ritual to try and spread its roots across the universe.
>>284722067I wonder if Hallow sensed the ayylien's killing intent (via mana?) and it caused his flashblack to be corrupted, causing Zaybi to appear hostile and ominous before Hallow realized this feeling wasn't his memory, just the current atmosphere. After all this chapter just introduced us to the fact that Hallow is getting really good at sensing enemies through magic and it works even on non-human targets as long as they are alive, so aliens probably included. Maybe this stuff can distort his perception of a flashback before he perceives the correct source of hostility?
>>284738225>Inb4 he already jobbed to Game World and turned into a NEETGod is next.
>>284722330They aren't hard to kill. They cannot survive radiation. That's always been a myth. They're only difficult to plan against longterm, since they're the ghouls of the bug world.
>>284738102Humans chapter are always boring, ONE fucked up in making the NE more interesting than the hoomans
>>284722118sexo
>>284739612Aliens are explicitly stated to lack mana by jachi, so they’re excluded. This rule likely only applies to things with a “life force”, like giants or Gaia’s wrath animals.
>>284740225I don’t think so. ONE had made the human likable by showing off their skills while dropping additional lore dumps about their worlds.
>>284722067This clearly has something to do with Yaotsu, right?
>>284741264i dont think so.thta alien was the one the tried to block humans from teleporting away, and hallow blocked him. id guess hes probably trying to get info on who killed the other alien after all that.
>>284741805I was referring to the blacked-out memory of Zaybi's face. Galua coming after Hallow is self-explanatory.
>>284726730Consider this: the soil that got soul drained is perma-sterile, right? Nothing will ever grow there again.Presumably the same is true of any BODIES that were soul drained as well. It is likely true that the people of the curse world didn't realize the consequences of what they were doing until it was too late, and by then they were too reliant on curse tech to stop using it, because anyone who gave up their curse tech was just easy prey for the ones that kept it so it turned into a tragedy of the commons situation. By soul draining enough different forms of life, they are essentially permanently removing biomass from the world. Material that would normally cycle through the ecosystem as fertilizer and decomposition material. Once this situation gets bad enough that you are able to recognize the effects of it in the real world because its affecting things on the macro scale, its already too late. You can't *undo* the damage you have already done.
>>284738102Hype is dead because chapters went from being monthly to every other month now. I am afraid this series might get cancelled. Which would be sad, because I like this series.
>>284743480>chapters went from being monthly to every other month nowYou are just exaggerating.
>>284740075>They aren't hard to kill.>They cannot survive radiation. They can, they reproduce fast and even if the parents die, the kids or their grandkids will eventually develop a resistance to radiation, on top of the fact that they already are somewhat resistant to radiation. There's very few things that are gonna have full immunity to radiation with no strings attached.
>>284744133They are NOT somewhat resistant to radiation.I will put a pinecone directly into your anus if you spread that rumor any further.
>>284721388my man hallow moving up in the world, 2 whole threat levels. won't be long til he can solo the demon king.
>>284721388>a healthy Kiva had to use Burst to defeat a Naver unit>a wounded, tired Hallow easily slices it apart while the unit is distracted>Galua is going to sunder him in combat mode anywayRough.
>>284743480Why would it be cancelled? It sells decently for a non WSJ manga and is only picking up steam
>>284726148what do you think the game will be? It can't just be some AI that makes humans play games that would be too similar to robots. I bet it's some memetic bullshit that makes you obsessed with the game. I could see characters slowly starting to use more game-related words/phrases like "we're winning/losing" or "looks like we increased our power level" and then they suddenly realize they've been thinking about things like a game. And the idea of "The Game" just insidiously infects them.
>>284742532Yeah, this was my take as well. Anything harvested is completely unusable, otherwise they could just keep soul draining people instead of the land and using their bodies as fertilizer.I wonder how curse tech will shape up against the World Tree, since the World Tree’s threat is the monopolization of all life energy while curse tech is permanent depletion.>>284744995A wounded Hallow who hadn’t even adjusted to having to fight with his non-dominant hand was also dominating over Kiva (once he finally recovered a bit of his will, anyway). They were both rated at level 6, but Hallow’s definitely still above.
>>284721318yay
>>284745127I would honestly replace the Giant Tree and Video Game worlds. The Giant Tree world is basically the same as Gaia's Wrath, but without giant animals. The Video Game world is the same as Robots, but without individual machines and only a single AI, similar to AM.I would replace the Giant Tree theme with Dragons, like Ragna Crimson.I would replace the Video Game theme with Ghosts/Spirits, like Ghostbusters, GeGeGe, Yo-kai Watch, and Dark Gathering.

>>284745127With the junkie faces they have or it's screen based, or it's hallucination based and the tiny fatsos are high physique dwarves too. Maybe it alters reality and you can never sleep because it forces dailies to keep. The last two would work with what's happening currently.
>>284744244But it's true?Radiation is a problem for mamals because we got cells that constantly move around and we got body parts that constantly change or fall and grow back. That's a bunch of cells moving around constantly.Insects generally barely change at all when they're fully grown outside of molting, their metabolism is slower so it impacts them less. They also don't get a bunch of fucked shit we get like Leukemia, Thyrroids and all that.Like yeah if you throw a direct nuclear strike at them they'd die from the radiation but put them in a mild to slightly high place and they'll be somewh fine but we're dead way before them.
>>284745127Game NE will be an inter-dimensional creature enforcing game like rules onto everyone. The rules will be enforced by GM (or the warden as the citizens of the game world would like to call) when they each have their own superpower based on game genre (card battle, escape room, FPS, RTS etc...). Their rule is so absolute that not even Jiachi can immediately kill them on the spot if they say so. The only way to beat them is to win them in their own game however, the GM's are also top tier players themselves with the speed and reaction of a neo human. The games are just expending their own territory so they could pressgang any sentient creatures to play their game. Their technology are run by the aforementioned powerful inter-dimensional creatures who is the ceo of the game world's ruling corporation. It is no AI since it is just as powerful as the god and it is sentient.

>>284750661I wonder how many people in here have VERSUS as their first ever monthly series. I never see anybody complain about Bug Ego's release schedule.People need to learn to be patient and chew slowly. It is good that ONE is taking things at the current pace.
>>284750804Versus isn't like most monthly series though with a dedicated author/artist It's more like a side project for all the people involved which leads to fewer pages than the usual monthly standard.
I expect the biggest problem (outside of yaotus) is the world tree just because it function similarly to the curse but passively and probably live would return when ever the tree would dies
>>284750914I hope they make the World Tree the same way I saw it in Hero I quit, seems like it already from the way they described it.A giant parasite that siphons the life from everything nearby and makes it impossible for anything else to live near it and it just constantly grows and heals no matter what you do to it.Since it's a nature world though it'll probably have bodyguards, like how some trees have ants protecting them from pests and in exchange the tree feeds the ants sugar water.

An urban fantasy style gothic horror setting with vampires is distinct enough to work, more distinct than zombies from the parasite world, but there are elements of such a setting that are already covered by the magic, neohuman and parasite worlds.>Ghosts/SpiritsProbably felt like there were too many exorcist manga already, and those always end with "humans are the real monsters" with exorcists fighting exorcists
>>284753361The Extremia humans can barely get around on their own and there's been no sign of their actual world. I think it's more like augmented reality layered over their own world

Merry roachmas…have a very roachyear
>>284740225My man, the NEs ARE the protagonists of this manga, they're the main characters of the battle royale. It's an antagonists-centric story, the humans are just a pretext to give us a low level POV.
>>284721603>Hallow's not in his best shapeThe guy just cut a Titan in half with one cut!
>>284755851Nah it's pretty clearly Hallow/humanity. Zaybi is a secondary POV and then Jachi is a distant third. Nobody else really compares in terms of focus.
>>284722588Remember when Hallow's party entered Jachi's throneroom and immediately started bleeding out of every hole in their faces? That. The Titans will unlock "spiritual pressure".
>>284723080Either Gigatila is infected and going on a rampage, or Hallow is infected and is hallucinating everyone around him as aliens, demons, and robots.

>>284756957Nah, if Hallow was hallucinating, hed be seeing Jachi
>>284753361But in the context of the story, Both worlds are the same as lther and are kinda lame. Also, Other works show Dragons as A mayor predator of humanity.Parasite world feels more like a Lovecraftian blight that something like vampires. And There's no Exorcists in Ghostbusters, but could be like Dandandan.
>>284734195>Look Jachi>I know it's our job to kill these guys, but they get stronger everytime you kill one>So why don't we just cut our losses, and get out of here?>Nonsense Nyudo, we've never given up on a genocide before!
>>284735540It seems clear their own stubbornness will be their downfall even moreso than the other natural enemiesThey've preemptively written off way too much shit on assumed superiority when Jachi has proven that they can get run over pretty easily on an individual level by the stronger members of the other factions
>>284745127It will be a mix of Sword Art Online and The Matrix. The players enter a pod and jack into a virtual world full of videogame mechanics. Level ups, cool equipment, etc. And every time the player makes "progress", they get injected with feel good chemicals that gets them addicted, so that they never want to leave. It is run by an AI that has advanced enough to forego the pod and apply it through "augmented reality".
>>284757258No, the mushroom spores make you try to kill everything around you. Jachi was so traumatizingly powerful that Hallow doesn't believe that he could beat him. In contrast, he was able to see through the alien's attacks and deflected a laser with his sword. He would absolutely be willing to fight Galua.
>>284757892While that is true We really didn't see any of their higher ranked members if they even exist

Maybe to bait the demon king or to tell them any weakness
>>284721553I wonder if current Hallow could have won this with Pakkya and the other support.
>>284752322The issue is that they don't go all out until the threat level has been increased to avoid showing too many cards, so if you destroy them before they adjust their strength they're fodder. That's why a Heidi was able to kill one. That being said magic world heroes are really strong (just think how much damage Golden Storm did to giants and part of the neo human city).
>>284722118>STAND READY FOR MY ARRIVAL, WORM!
>>284722067>>284721553This two panels smell like shit man. There's something very wrong with Hallow. And maybe schizoposting but it's always been really sus on how he gained white hair after losing against Jachi. Knowing how autistics japs are with hair color as plot device I don't think the white is just due to stress.I don't think he is half demon , but from another dimension entirely.
>>284759364Hallow probably can take each of them alone, but all together? Were they fifteen or fifty?I already doubt they could take down the former, the latter is impossible.
>>284759364I was surprised to see Hallow just cleave a giant in half this chapter when this guy couldn't even put one of them down while roidedOf course it wasn't his goal, but still
>>284759364I hope not. The point of natural enemies was that they were unassailable by humans, regardless of their race. The fairy union was an outside case, due to it clearly being a super move with a cost but fodderising any kind of natural enemy only harms their threat. But we are far past that point now with Hallow one shotting a titan and beating a demon executive in a straight up brawl without actually losing anything. When we first saw the titan, the little one they ran from, it was so strong that Hallow knew he would die and it was trivially dispersing magic with it's power. Now Titans are so weak setting wise that a human faction mechanised them as mounts. The scale of things is incredibly bad at this point, especially after Jachi just one shot the machine base with a single punch.
>>284760120If both him and Ario use Fairy fusion I don't see why not?
I think instead of Lawless, ONE should used World where Superhero turn into villain
>>284760485Given that Aro soloed all the buffed up titans with his fairy union and lost because he let a bunch of kids dive in on him, he almost definitely could and given we've yet to see Fairy Union from Hallow an he could solo a Demon Executive level fighter at this point, I can't see why he couldn't unless his union is garbage.
>>284722588>I cast fist
>>284729943To be fair it seems like some VR bullshitAt BEST maybe it's controlled by ultra powerful AIs or something that could fuck with the robots.
>>284760919I bet ONE liked that one episode of Star Trek Next Gen.With the weird little trumpet-frisbee game.
>>284721831This is a cool idea, but I don't see the downside since you can just use it on animals and livestock.
>>284761305The downside is that there is no restriction. Any idiot can abuse it and ruin things for everyone.
>>284761305I'm assuming if you use it on animals their meat also becomes incapable of bearing life, so you can't eat it and it never decomposes to become fertilizer
>>284761305>but I don't see the downside since you can just use it on animals and livestock. It's basically destroying the matter, even if it's not used on the soil then that means the matter that made up that cow will never return to the Earth, it's basically removing that matter from existence. Do that enough times and you end up with nothing.
>>284721831Based on this chapter the curse seems like the perfect counter to the world tree, so I'm wondering if there are some limits to itI guess there is no soul container big enough to completely kill its roots
>>284721831So although there are 13 worlds that have been merged, there are actually only 8 factions of natural enemies: demons, giants, robots, madalans, parasites, nature, neo-humans, and the lawless.Yaotsu and Daikokuzan are unique individuals, not factions. The curse is just equipment that also consequently drains the world when used. The world tree is similar to a curse, something that affects the environment, not a faction or a conscious individual. I think the game is probably not a faction or an individual either. To be honest, I'm not sure if nature and parasites can exactly be considered factions as well, but it's closer to that than Daikokuzan, Yaotsu, the World Tree, the Curse, and the Game.
>>284738157what does this fucker even do if a literal twelve-fold apocalypse is not enough for him to leave his royal stoolhe must be bored out of his mind
>hi-tech worldsMecha OrdinanceCursed LandsCelestiaExtremia>modern worldsDisastrous MetropolisParasiticaLand of the LawlessNeo-Terra>low-tech worldsSorcerionTitan's CrownGaia's WrathIndignia (?)Yggdrasion (?)
>>284762025If the robots count I think parasites should tooThe same way robots are all controlled by mother, the parasites seem to have some hivemind going on that drives them to assimilate everything and become one
>>284761933Curse, tree and nature seem to have a three way fight going: curse kills everything leaving nothing, tree eats everything leaving only itself, and nature creates life everywhere.I'm guessing the defeat of the curse will be not it being resisted, but the tree eating it or nature growing life in the lifeless patches.
>>284721633>>284752743But the giant baby clearly killed several lawless at night, even though he seemed to be in a cave. It was also nighttime at Diganazal Castle when Ginbak and his group were transported there by Nyudo. It seems more like they just usually go to sleep as soon as night falls by habit, but they can still stay awake and fight at night if they want to.
>>284762062He is definitely going to fight Yaotsu.
>>284762025Honestly, it's much better and more interesting this way. Too many factions just for the sake of it would be very detrimental to the work.
>>284721614>all living things have manabad news for the robots, great news for Daikokuzan!
>>284760577If you think about it, aren't the neo-humans an evil version of the X-men?
>>284761305Think of it this way, anon: I give you handheld device that can make you anything you want like a Star Trek replicator. BUT every time you use it, the Earth shrinks by 1 inch. You can never get that inch of diameter of the planet back, its been permanently expended to power your replicator. Everyone on the surface of the early gets just a little bit closer to each other as the distance between things shrinks. The Earth is 501,684,480 inches in diameter. You might think thats such a huge number that you could never possibly run out of it, you would never have need to use the replicator that often. But the fact that its finite means that its something you theoretically CAN run out of, and you don't actually have to hit zero before you start having real problems. Every time the world shrinks, thats less space for people, for cities, for growing food, etc. We can afford to spare some of it, but if it goes far enough you have cities getting squished together because the space between them is gone, rivers that no longer exist ti carry fresh water to places that used to have it, etc.Maybe you have self control. Maybe you would never abuse the replicator. But now give a copy of that replicator to 10 million people. How many of those 10 million will be lazy shits that use it multiple times a day? Even if all of those 10 million people use it only once, thats still enough to shrink the Earth by 1/50th. And thats assuming they only ever use it ONCE. How long do you think you would have before 10 million people only using the replicator "when they really need it" irreparably fucks up the world and collapses human civilization? And as things get more dire, the more valuable the replicator becomes and the more often you'll find that you "have" to use it because everything else around you is falling apart. Thats Curse tech.
>>284760274It's the spirit sword. Hallow without the sword is pretty much useless, but I expect to see his sword hurt the compact form alien if they fight in the next chapter. >>284760318Titans are still the strongest "fodder". A lone neohuman or mass produced humanoid robot isn't gonna do shit to the average titan. Demon executives vary in strength so not all of them would have a good time. We saw the lawless pilot titans against a gaia bear and the fact that the titans didn't immediatly explode into fine mist says a lot about their durability. >>284762025>>284762191The parasite doesn't seem to have any intelligence of its own. When it absorbed a bunch of lawless and evolved into a wurm it was taken over by a human ego instead of developing a "natural" sentience. The wurm in the gaia forest that chased down the giant deer only had animal minds to incorporate and acted more like a simple predator.
>>284726288This might be how he gets a new arm, since we all know some D.Gray-man shit is about to happen from the moment he lost it.
>>284764022Nah, they are a take on those stories from 2000 AD and Heavy Metal, where rich future humans become perfect and decadent, then make life miserable for the baseline humans because otherwise there wouldn't be a story, it's a classic sci-fi setup.
>>284761714This, the used up animals and livestock don't rot and compost, the curse magically prevents their remains from being reintegrated into the cycle (decomposition, nutrition for plants, food for more animals). The Curse has finite use as much as there is "living" matter, which is a lot, but it only takes a country of selfish idiots, to use it on a large scale for frivolous gain and that limited, non-renewable amount starts to go down very quickly.
>>284764533If he gets an arm from them and is released, that will be used for data collection and not only of him.
>>284765271Maybe he'll hack it through protagonist bullshit and do stuff like pic related. That'd be cool.
>>284743808He is, but it is frustrating to have 2 break months in one year for a monthly manga.
Why did Hallow get white streaks in his hair after losing to Jachi? I assumed they were always there but I looked back and they aren't there at the beginning. Is it a design change they had mid chapter or what?
>>284762699>But the giant baby clearly killed several lawless at night, even though he seemed to be in a caveGiants are based on snk, so they are meant to be weak and vulnerable at night sans some exceptions(ginbak)
>>284762025I have a feeling that the curse, the world tree, and the game are probably similar in the sense that they offer very useful resources that the factions can use while at the same time being harmful to the world or at least to life in it.While they are neither factions nor conscious individuals, they help shape the world and offer resources that can influence the factionsand the war between them, while at the same time being harmful to the world being yet another hazard and variable.I also wonder if Yaotsu might end up recruiting followers from other factions or from humans and create a new faction in the midst of all this, or if his personality makes that impossible.

>>284768421It's a thing in real life anon, it happened to me.
What if one of the 13 worlds was extreme unluck? Game world has been nonexistent so far so I'd replace it with that. Imagine humans chilling in their base, and one of them dies randomly to an exploding office chair, or aneurysm. Or Jachi has a rare fatal mana flow event and has a heart attack. As the story goes on the events get more and more severe and improbable, like a black hole appearing from nothing, or suffocating due to atoms bouncing in just the right way that they don't enter someones lungs. I think that would be cool. It could have actual things to fight too, powerful beings formed by random chance, or like a boltzmann brain.
>>284722330She would look cute if she wasnt fat. That makes liking her gay
>>284760919They look like they smell.
>>284762162I get that modern is "broad", but I think Neo-Terra and Land of the Lawless have stuff beyond modern tech - and Parasitica might have weird bio-weapons/occult stuff going on but they're still pretty dated (~WW1). I also expect weird stuff from Disastrous Metropolis, but they're probably the closest to modern tech(them or LotL).
Who was the bigger loss, sexy cockroach or sexy monkey?
>>284771302Monkey, she had charm the roach lacked

>>284768421Lots of mangakas like to make characters change physically from trauma/stress, makes it feel like a bigger deal when they carry the signs of the damage done to them throughout the manga.
>>284764689I'm still under the impression their hatred for old humanity probably stems from more than just arrogance. I will be eating my hat if the twist isn't "humanity used to oppress them until the tables turned".
>>284770470At first I thought Neo-Terra is probably one of the higher tech ones, but looking back they haven't show anything out of the ordinary aside from their buildings being extremely flashy, and they just attack with with regular sharp weapons. I was thinking maybe the neo-humans were genetically engineered, but so far they were just stated to be a mutation, so it could have been something that happened naturally.
>>284777748Yeah, I thought so too. Maybe neos were like replicants, hence the absence of emotions
>>284777748at this rate it feels like it's going to be revealed that most of the disasters were, directly or indirectly, caused by humans
>>284778040We have decent evidence that one paleohuman has been augmented with super strength either for fun or to conduct manual labor, and they're probably equipped to modify the parasite as well. They're also able to study someone like Ario who's mana-based. It was noted that Lawless bikes were simpler versions of Neo bikes, and the investigating Neos were familiar with automatons. It also has no current answer for how its world merged, and tech is their leading answer for now.I think their civilization hasn't had much reason to need to build certain things - ie them walking around with knives is probably just to torture paleohumans on the go - but it seems like we haven't really glimpsed the depth of their technology. Especially if there ends up being relative tiering or specializations between the different cities, which a title like "9th City" suggests is pretty likely to me. In practice it also feels kind of irrelevant, cause they can either have stuff already or they'll quickly create advanced tech because they're all super geniuses.
>>284745789I would say that the World Tree, while being nature-based like Gaia’s Wrath, poses a threat more similar to the Curse World’s tech, in that both render the environment inhospitable for all forms of life, curse tech doing it through permanent depletion and the World Tree through monopoly. The nature of Gaia’s Wrath, as difficult as it is to survive in it, is at least thriving with life and the possibility of survival.
>>284760318I think you’re misunderstanding something. It’s not that individual members of the Natural Enemies can’t be defeated by the humans, but the Natural Enemies as a race. The humans have been able to beat demons, it’s just that at a certain tier, their strength is meaningless. The reason why they had to run from the first giant was because Hallow was heavily injured and couldn’t even manifest a blade for his sword. Now, Hallow’s mostly healed up from his injuries (even if he’s still fatigued from constant combat), he’s learned how to fight left-handed, and he can manifest a blade again. Even before this, he was able to match and overwhelm Kiva. Beating a normal giant is definitely within his ability to do so.
>>284779019>We have decent evidence that one paleohuman has been augmented with super strength either for fun or to conduct manual laborDo you remember where this was brought up? I don’t recall this being hinted.
Do you think Jachi couldve high/extreme diffed Ginbak?
>>284768876Which enemy did you have to fight?
>>284779734And what's more, the point was that humans of that world specifically could not handle their NE under their circumstances. Kyokai pre-merger for example would not have been a problem for Hallow. Sure, we haven't seen what other gangs can do, but some Heroes could easily deal with what's been shown. Another clear example would be the Celestian fleet "versus" most NE's that can't get off of Earth.
>>284780051Employment
>>284779780Purely by virtue of him remaining to fight the Lawless in Chapter 17 when all non-combatants were told to flee(only Iglay and Masayoshi were still around). He's just in a fighting pose with his fists clenched. You could argue that he's being suicidal/self-sacrificing like Neo-Terrans tend to be, but I think he's aware of his relative worth and he's the only Neo-Terran to stay behind like this and is ready to fight humans, not run into a parasite like the other two did. He's also shown with a Titan's Crown guy a few times as a bit of a duo, so I expect them each to bring something to the table at some point.
>>284726021The ugly mascot gag really overstayed its welcome.

>>284780033Hell noJachi might be able to make Ginbak bleed a little while in Burst but he has no chance in hell of actually beating him. Nothing monke tried affected him AT ALL and she was using indirect attacks, which physical dudes are usually more vulnerable to

Could Yaotsu revive curse-drained soil?
>>284781877It's just soil. Dig up the cursed layer and have some cows poop there.
My crackpot theory is curse won't be able to deplete the life force from the world tree but it can seperate the life force world tree accumulated. Basically turning that energy back to normal nature.

>>284782285Then sell the cursed soil as a de-weeder
>>284780361Genuinely negdiffs everything shown here btw
>>284781171Theres a power disparity between the demon lords. Like Roya for example was dogshit compared to Nyudo. The last wave of robots Roya was against were killed by weak finger beams from Nyudo. Jachi is definitely stronger than Monkes mech suit, she seemed like a shittier demon lord, her speciality seemed to be creating fodder enemies to btfod the humans. Jachi is built different.
>>284722118I wonder if galua is here because of the demon whistleSomething like trying to follow jachi's energy from the battle site and picking up on the whistle
Do you think Nyudo is friends with Jachi? I feel like he cares about that dude.

>>284784095Nyudo is certainly using all other demon lords to gather as much Intel as possible on the other NE, and it probably does it for his own survival rather than for the sake of the king.Losing too many demon lords to other NE also goes against his plans, because the whole demon faction gets weaker. That said, he certainly likes some lords more than others. He gave good advice to Jachi, and he was happy to see monkeygirl killed.

>>284784095Jachi is not really one for bullshit but also not one to scream at Nyudo to leave him alone. Nyudo seems to offput most Demon Lords, but can on some level appreciate that Jachi doesn't get that way, and Jachi can probably like that Nyudo keeps him up to date with things.
>>284784095>>284785165I don't think Jachi likes Nyudo at all.

Keep your mouth shut, nyudo.""Tsk, that damned Nyudo. It's clear that he's picking and choosing what information to reveal to me."Jachi definitely hates Nyudo, he's probably the guy he hates more than anyone else.
>>284788410Yeah youre right, but its a typical demon ego thing. Jachi was chill and looked like he was receiving advice from Nyudo fine at some points, and Nyudo seems to care for Jachis wellbeing. Jachi is very overconfident in his power, so it makes sense hed have a soirage meltdown over another demon lord trying to steal his thunder, Roya was the same, dumb bitch she was.
>>284727293It’s a well-known fact that’s he’s a gay misogynist
>>284788481In Jachi's mind the whole Ginbak thing must look much worse because for Jachi it's not a question of whether or not he can win, he just will and it looks like "he stole my fight to kill Diganazal" instead of "he saved my life and killed Diganazal", the last part is always treacherous and means Nyudo can't be trusted, but Jachi hasn't given Nyudo an ounce of the gratitude he's rightfully owed, even though Nyudo probably is just trying to use him as a pawn to see how strong their enemies are
>>284729943they’re busy writing the gamefaqs guide.
>>284788410There's more to it than that, which I think I covered >>284785165 and there are lines you can look at that show off some of Jachi's more agreeable or even playful lines with Nyudo.>>284788774Nyudo wasn't going to take any chances, and Jachi likely would've wanted to see it through to its conclusion either way. Jachi is outwardly angry about it, but he doesn't actually pursue Nyudo or anything after the fact and is more reflective about the state of the world while dwelling on Nyudo's words.

>>284784370He probably likes Jachi because Jachi is a reliable, easy piece on the board. He never has to wonder what Jachi is going to do, as long as he points Jachi at a fight then he WILL fight it. He's a blunt instrument, and a very effective one. Best of all, Jachi knows he is being used and doesn't care because he gets to have more big fights and occasionally Nyudo tells him something genuinely useful.

>>284783714>The last wave of robots Roya was against were killed by weak finger beams from NyudoFwiw, this is because the robots were optimized specifically for fighting Roya. If Nyudo had to deal with several waves of robots on his own, he'd eventually lose too. Jachi's special because he dumped ALL his stats into physical attack and thus looks stronger, but he's not all that much more powerful than the other demon lords overall imo.
>>284791842I think Jachi for sure is one of the stronger lords. He blew away what could be assumed to be one of the strongest magic spells, killed a robot factory in one punch, took a strong punch from Ginbak in the face, low diffed a Madalan. Jachi must be Him, he might even be the strongest demon lord, hes one of the most important characters in the series after all.
>>284791505In the character sheet he called Ninya an eyelash-type, which is more or less ONE's way of saying that Madalans don't have sexes anymore but the ones with eyelashes are girls and the rest are boys
>>284792593There are 47 demon lords, there are 47 prefectures in Japan. Jachi is the 11th demon lord, the 11th prefecture in Japan is Saitama. Saitama is the strongest in OPM, so Jachi is the strongest demon lord in Versus, probably gets low diffed by Ginbak, Yaotsu, Daikokuzan, and he probably gets low diffed by Robots, neo-humans, and Parasites if they aren't killed before they become strong enough to annihilate him. Everyone else probably doesn't stand a chance against him.
>>284792593>He blew away what could be assumed to be one of the strongest magic spellsMagic does jack shit offensively to anyone more durable than drywall>killed a robot factory in one punchOnly mildly impressive thing is that he got through the robot defenses, which we know are piss poor til they get to adapt enough>took a strong punch from Ginbak in the faceFair. We all know Ginbak was totally going all out from the get-go.>low diffed a MadalanThe aliens are literally retarded jobbers >In conclusion?Jachi will get assraped by strap-on wielding sexbots and zoomers will have to find a new "aurafarmer" to suck off

>>284792838Yeah being low diffed by the strongest in the versus, maybe. Only the strongest in the verses can beat him until proven otherwise. Show him some respect.
>>284792593It was understandable if people didn't see the vision after he fought with Ginbak for a bit. It was eh if they didn't think so after seeing Burst Diganazal take on Ginbak. Now it's weird if they didn't get the memo after seeing Roya's performance compared to Jachi's. For now it looks like Diga > Roya with both being significantly weaker than Jachi and Nyudo.
>>284759364Only if they agree to fight one at a time or the gameworld forces them to fight in turns
When we see the actual curse NE in action? I refuse to believe it's only the overuse of the tech that's causing all the problems, as multiple people were apparently hit by the "curse" (not like what happened with Rinri where they just died to become ammo). I doubt Bastz was responsible for all of them.
>>284794448Those could just be genuine illnesses from other worlds. We didn't see those people and it's pretty logical that it'd happen - only in that case magic would handle it. I could see a wild version of the Curse existing, but it might not be very common if the main problem is the misuse of technology.

>>284789459Nice.
>>284758549
>>284794004Seems like Jachi and Nyudo are important, but the other lords so far have been fodder to scale Ginbak and Robots. I like seeing the demons, I cant imagine the nearly 50 lords will all be showcased, unless a bunch get fodderized later. Nyudo and Jachi are both fun likeable characters so Im happy seeing more of them.

>>284806892>instead of starting a discussion I will complain that people aren't discussing kwab
>>284806892This isn't the complete picture. For all the spectacle, VERSUS is meaningfully paced and isn't rushing through everything. You can tell the author is actually trying to juggle several factions at once and letting things simmer instead of rushing to the bits people want to see for that instant gratification hit. It's journey-based, not destination-based. The complexity emerges from simple things colliding with each other over and over again - sometimes interrupting one another mid-collision - and seeing the chemical reactions.VERSUS isn't the writing equivalent of icing without cake, it's more one-minute-baked cookie dough that melts in your mouth.>>284806954This isn't the way to defend the manga. Standards are subjective, sure, but that doesn't mean they're meaningless. If they were, they would have never been constructed as a tool to engage with media.
>>284807121It's going to be a successful bait post for the series in general, but Versus handles its characters and themes well. Trying to make the case that it's vapid in a slow chapter dedicated to character development where >>284721831 is the sequence to draw the most attention in the thread just doesn't work, but most responses are jumping to defend Versus as what it's being framed as for whatever reason.
>>284807121>letting things simmer instead of rushing to the bits people want to see for that instant gratification hitthis monthly manga is at chapter 30that's way, way past "letting it simmer"at this point it's clear it just doesn't have anything to sayand no amount of concocting elaborate explanations about how the principle of Brownian motion will eventually make all these moving parts accidentally produce an engaging plot will change that

Claiming that there is only one valid way to enjoy a story or that some ways of engaging with a story are superior is just wrong though. When discussing a painting, maybe you can break down your experience of it technically to discuss why it's evocative. Maybe it's the composition, or the brushstrokes, or colour, or the way it integrates the subject. That explanation can never replace the actual experience you felt when you saw the painting though, and if the experience is a product of aspects of the painting which are unsophisticated or impossible to articulate it doesn't make the feeling any less meaningful. It's fine to sit on a knoll and be enraptured by fireworks. It's fine to fall asleep in the warmth of a pet. It's fine to be lost in the eyes of a woman just because she is beautiful - and none of those experiences are something you can replicate only through thought and introspection.

Apparently each of Roya's children were as strong as other executives like kiva, does this mean Naver's are as strong/stronger than executives now, since they wiped out Roya's army of kids?
>>284721848Maybe that'll be the twist, they didn't isekai to get help fighting the curse, they isekai'd to get more universes to soul extract
>>284811394Kiva struggled to kill the generic humanoid model back when the factions had just made first contact. The army that fought Roya probably gave the roaches a lower threat rating at first and the wave that killed the executives went all out from the start.

>>284721848I think the idea is that their world was in a downward spiral. They used the soul extractors so much that life became impossible without continuing to use the soul extractors for support. So I think like the others, they were hoping that some other world would be able to reverse the curse and save their planet. I imagine the main threat of the curse will be the tech falling into the wrong hands and more and more of the new lands being tainted.

I think it makes more sense for Jachi to have very high end Power-type Executives. I want a 4X game based off this so bad. >13 distinct playable factions>pockets of human populations around as well>some factions play like traditional 4x games but some are radically different>virus is like plague inc where the goal is to reach full concentration>in god the goal is simply just to increase the amount of reverence and worship you have>different win conditions as well potentially>normal resources like wood, energy and metals but the human populations become resources themselves,>certain resources you can only get from the other factions encouraging you to keep them alive instead of just steam rolling. >>284825983Demons will probably get an unwarranted redemption arc after getting btfo'd harder than anyone else, there will definitely be an interspecies couple after that, I realized this when Kiva got his pre-death redemption, right before he's about to be killed he thinks back to all the innocent defenseless people he's killed, "this is what it must be like, huh?", it's so wrong for a guy who's been so evil to just have a heel face turn like this, he's literally braver than hallow was fighting Jachi, exact same situation and somehow killing a mother holding daughter gave him the moral conviction to fight a battle he couldn't win, ONE's a good writer so this comes across as natural and he made it a cool scene, but I knew then and there that he was going to give the demons the redemption they don't deserve.
