Why did early 2000 kid anime acted like they were the most serious shit ever?
Early 2000's was still following the 90's attitude era, evolving it in a way, you gotta be way too cool for school. You can't sell Beyblades if they are presented as weapons of mass destruction to be used in tournaments.
>>284725362Because they were trying to be cool instead of later on where everyone way trying to be "too cool."
>>284725362Because it was a better, more honest time.
>>284725362>>284725485Reminder that Moses parted the sea not with the power of God, but with the power of beys. Yes, it was serious business.
>>284725635Kinda odd this meme Moses moment came from a later Beyblade series, it wasn't as Xtreme as the original first series.
>>284725362Pure SOVL if u as me
>>284725587There's a reason this stuff fell out of style.Eventually, it started going too pretentious, culminating in shit like Shadow the Hedgehog
>>284725873Shadow the Hedgehog remains the second most popular Sonic character only behind the guy himself, so it hasn't really fallen off style.
>>284726071Shadow the Hedgehog the game is still considered an embarrassment, and it took the franchise (and the character) years to recover from that shitshow.
>>284725362Imagine being so irony poisoned you're confused why the creators of the thing aren't just doing it ironically
>>284726795"Irony poisoning" isn't a thing.
>>284726795Wat? It was the fucking 2000's, nothing was ironic.
>>284726895So like...those guys wearing linkin park t shirt, shell necklace and spiky hair were serious? That's based actually
Remember that time the Russians harnessed the powers of spiritual monsters residing in Beyblades to create a superweapon, bent on controlling the world, but their plan was thwarted cus they lost one single Bey-battle to some punkass?
>>284726624>years to recover from that shitshowPretty sure it was 06 that struck a mortal blow to the franchise. Not that shadow's game was any good.
