According to a reliable leaker, an anime adaptation of the Manga Historie is in production and slated to release on 2027Think the Manga will come out of hiatus to correlate with the anime?
>>284757510No new chapters tho
Holy kino annoncement
>>284757510Let's go, i always wanted an anime adapt
>>284757510>Think the Manga will come out of hiatus to correlate with the anime?probably not but this could be good if it's in the right hands
>yfw it's tezuka production
>>284757510huhgreat manga desu
>reliable leaker>literal who on Twitter>regularly posts fake announcements and deletes them afterwards>kills any momentum of actual official announcements
>>284757888>>regularly posts fake announcements and deletes them afterwardsWhen aside from the Dai no Bouken movie? Asking unironically because out of the anime/manga that I actually watch every leak of his have turned out to be true so far aside from that one but maybe there has been more and I just haven't noticed because it was stuff I was uninterested in.>>284757736The fact that this isn't impossible scares me the fuck up.
>>284758093Gimai Seikatsu S2 for instance. In other cases supposed anime announcements turned out to be live action or whatever. There's seriously no value in giving those attention whores what they crave for. The actual adaptions won't come out one minute faster and all it does is harm the industry.
They haven't even started the Persian campaign in the manga.
>>284758215Wasn't aware since I haven't watched, thanks. I was just introduced to the account via /m/ due to Sentai Red Isekai being leaked by him turned out to be true so I started following and since the stuff I follow aside from Dai no Bouken turned out to be true I assumed he was mostly credible.Since he's getting a lot of stuff right I guess it's likelier that this guy just reposts stuff from Chinese users from Baidu and most of them are reliable leakers rather than the leaks being provided by him, but I don't know which users sadly, I only know Chinese leakers for toku stuff.
>>284757510This better be getting some goddamn BUDGET!
>>284758486You don't need leakers. Pay attention to official accounts, publications and events.Promoting those actually helps raise awareness and drum up support. There's too many announcements that falter because some shithead on Twitter needed to jump the gun for e-penis.
I'm tempering my expectations, I still haven't recovered from the disaster that was the Cestvs anime.
>>284757510How many times has Eumenes been cucked so far?
>>284758609I guess I'm just used to toku where leaker culture is standard and mostly beneficial to them, I think in their entire history leaks have only backfired twice while every single other time leaks actually helped garner hype
>>284758215You're thinking of Tsumi, the same notorious fake leaker who spread the rumour about Mappa doing OPM S3. SGLite got most of their info right. You can easily check their track record in their X account.>>284758215The Gimai Seikatsu post is still in tact, nothing is deleted. These "production decision" posts doesn't mean the official announcement is imminent. Most recent example of this is the Minky Momo stuff. They posted the info in February, the official announcement revealed just yesterday. https://x.com/i/status/2003757749809922398
>>284758647Was it CGI or what?
>>284758609I know this wasn't your intention and I'm probably just mindrotten by /v/ but your post feels like glowie
>>284758850Horrible dogshit CGI and a downright awful, butchered adaptation that skipped literally 9+ volumes of story in the first 2 episodes.
>>284758696>and mostly beneficial to themTo whom, the Twitter shitters? You should notice that it's always foreigners even though the industry is Japanese.
>>284758717He hid his account after Mikawa Ghost called him out on his bullshit. You still haven't provided a reason why you need to promote those leakers instead of official channels. What did Minky Momo fans gain from that leak?
>>284758899Dislike for Twitter threads isn't limited to /v/ or government employees.
>>284758949For toku most of the leaks used to come from Japan, it helped garner hype and for people to know how much money they have to save up for the toku toys, but nowadays most of the leaks come from the Chinese
>>284758215Will someone think of poor industry?
>>284757888>claims to be literalwho, but follows him so closely to know every deleted post he made, and also insists his influence is so strong that it affects the official news
>>284759123Hate for twitter threads is universal to 4chan, the hate for leaks is that felt glowie behavior to meBut I'm probably just
>>284759081>he hid his account after mikawa ghost called him out on his bullshitIts not "deleted" like you claimed it was. And the Mikawa Ghost "called out" is nothing different than a panic PR button like how Capcom shoots down all the Leon in RE9 rumour, despite it being very much real.>you still haven't provided a reason why you need to promote those leakers instead of official channelsNo one is arguing about those shit. Not me, that's the other anon. My post is about your claim on them being fake.
>>284759285It's what you get from using this board. People don't even bother posting the actual announcements and if they get a thread they die after a few posts.
I don't care about leakers, discuss Historie regardless
>>284759462Make a different thread instead of supporting Twitter shit.
>>284759380>People don't even bother posting the actual announcementsThe fuck are you on about, we literally have an Undead Unluck thread right now and every news from conventions get reposted here, people discuss both announcements and leaks here
>>284757736Likely outcome
>>284757510Assuming the leak is true, does this mean that the anime will be in development for at least a year? That should be good since it means that even if we get a mediocre studio it should have enough time for it to at the very least look decent although non-stand outPersonally I'm hoping for Orb's staff from Madhouse to adapt it even if that adaptation wasn't outstanding
Oof I wonder how badly butchered the names will be.
>>284759484you're the one who make it twitter thanks to your autistic "durr its not from the poor official!!" seethe, dumb stupid nigger
if it's one cour, theoretically what's the lileliest stop point? >>284759484>bitching about twitter instead of hijacking the thread, ignore the twitter discussion and discuss the mangabeta behavior
>>284759503> every news from conventions get reposted here, Every is a very strong word. Announcements also come in magazines or social media accounts.Compare the amount of attention a leak thread gets compared to the proper announcement later on, not announcements that didn't get leaked. The worst ones are announcements of leaks.
>>284757510Holy fuck, I've just re-read this a while ago. Still get the chills from the last chapter. By the way, does anyone know who maintains Historie's official TL's rips on madokami? It's behind like 15 chapters (K-Manga is at chapter 80, while madokami is still at chapter 65).
>>284759718That's how Twitter and other garbage threads got established as acceptable behavior.
>>284759768>Compare the amount of attention a leak thread gets compared to the proper announcement later onThe official announcement of Psyren got more discussion than any of the leak threads: https://desuarchive.org/a/search/subject/Psyren/Why do you care about this so much? If you hate leak threads simply take advantage of this thread to discuss Historie and make a second thread when this one closes since there's no point to having two threads simultaneously>>284759852Then next time actually make an Historie thread rather than waiting for this one to bitch on, I hate twitter but if it's leaks/news who the fuck cares, what's actually being leaked is what matters not the leaker, you're the one who's giving more attention to twitter and the leaker rather than manga itself
>>284757510>>284757736Why am I thinking it's gonna be Studio M2? This seems like an ambitious project that Maruyama Masao would've came up with. Although I heard Maruyama has stepped down from Studio M2 and his son became the new studio's president (and he made another studio, the madlad).
>>284759835Sadly I don't know but hopefully it gets updated soon and also the manga comes back from its hiatusWhat's the author's illness again?
>>284759942The leak thread got 400 posts, the countdown 50 + 150. Even the actual announcement topped at 300.
Fucking kinoPersonally my favorite historical manga
>>284759718It will probably end somewhere around volume 4 if it's one cour given the page count
>>284757510Cgi guaranteed. Only hopeful thing out of this is motivating the author to finish the manga.
>>284760304I'm not some history fags, in fact, I know nothing about Eumenes until I read the manga. But after one or two Youtube video on Diodachi war, I found out that Historie is more like a "historical fiction". In hindsight, some parts now feel a bit Lynchian, like when Barsine met that creepy Mad Scientist (?) who later revived King Philip. I wonder if that's intentional. Also, iirc Eumenes was defeated by Antigonus in Diodachi war in real life, and maybe that's why Iwaaki intentionally introduced Philip as Antigonus in the beginning of manga. Also, another thing that's different from the real history is, Eurydice's kids didn't survive the assassination, unlike in the manga. I wonder what's the plan here. Speedrunning Alexander's death, then go to Diodachi war with some new alternate scenarios like Eumenes vs Zombie Phillip/Antigonus where he won, and then Eurydice's Son became the new King?
>>284757510Eumenes is a jobber who could never earn the respect of his men. Should've just made the manga about Alexander.
>author of parasyteThanks, pass
>>284760721The guy who got the silver shields to follow him didn't earn their respect?
>>284761146They literally betrayed him. His authority was always appointed by other people rather than coming from his own standing. The silver shields were given to him by Polyperchon.
>>284758583What recent seinen aside from Dungeon Meshi got a good budget?, I feel like these are rare these dies but luckily there are still seinen adaptations that despite their lack of budget are hardcarried by good direction
>>284761611To be fair, he did lose the baggage train which held all their wealth and families.
>>284757510Ad Astra adaptation when?
>>284762908I don't get why Ultra Jump manga barely get anime adaptations, what I would give for a Suicide Girl adaptation
happy to see we can finally leave behind vinland saga, I really despise authors pushing their agendas in historical context
>>284760663Unfortunately almost all "historical" manga is closer to historical fiction. The only real exception I can think of are the Yokoyama Mitsuteru manga that faithfully adapt historical documents like Genghis Khan and Shiki. Even a surprising amount of Plinius was fictionalized.
>>284758657I think it's been thrice.
>>284764059>Even a surprising amount of Plinius was fictionalized. What, you don't think Plinius' posse defeated a bronze automaton in Crete?
>>284765033WTF, I only thought the Nero parts were fake. Next you're going to tell me the seahorses I'm eating don't cure baldness.
>>284764059Based Yokoyama Mitsuteru enjoyer
>>284757510Wouldn't it be too long? It's on hiatus for so long that I don't remember how many chapters it had but it was many. Series like this only work if they have a decent adaption and animation.
So many never evers are getting adaptations holy shit
>>284760663>>284764059Of course it's historical fiction, that's literally the name of the genre. What else would you expect.
>>284760444literally me
Probably my favorite unadapted manga. Maybe they saw that orb got good reception and realized there's a market for /his/ shit?
LETS GOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOO
>>284769986I'm surprised that Kingdom is the only historical manga with a long ongoing adaptation, you'd think with how popular it was more historical manga would have gotten adaptations sooner
>>284757510nice, excited for it
>>284770655I'm also a little surprised there isn't a long running show specifically set in the age of Alexander. I get why they haven't done things like the Peloponnesian or Punic wars, on the other hand Alexander's conquests could support a whole show without losing focus on a select group of main characters with all of them remaining fairly young throughout. Of course Historie won't make it that far but it does prove you can get off to a great start
>>284768686i hope chi no wadachi gets one, oshimi keeps getting more popular and i'd love to see how they'd animate these panels
>>284771215I'd also love that, was there live-action adaptation successful in any way? That could increase its chances
Man Eumenes is one of my favorite MC of all timeIntelligent, nihilistic, and with a wicked sense of humor, he's literally me
>>284771915>>284771877IT'SMA'AM
>>284764059>Faithful adaptation.
Please be done by the same team as picrel
Isn't the Historie mangaka gravely ill? He'd still be required to collaborate or sign of shit for the adaptation. Doesn't sound like stress is what he wants in his life.
>>284758931I don't think CGI is likely here, computer graphics are typically used for realistic and highly rendered art styles that would be difficult to animate in full detail. Iwaaki's style is more simplified, so I think a full CGI show is less likely here (I would count on CGI horses and probably large battle scenes though). Even so, I think you're still right to temper your expectations, the higher quality the source material, the more things can go wrong in an adaptation.
>>284757736God after seeing the disasters that was Under Ninja and My Home Hero, I hope they don't make it
Historie's art is pretty Spartan/Serviceable. An anime has some room to make it more interesting. But it'll probably just end up cheap. Oh well.
>>284774740You want Historie to look like this?
>>284776154Yeah
Is there anything like Historie or Chi or whatever else written by a Westerner that is not complete garbage?
>>284775577>SpartanHe's from Thrace though.
>>284775033Last time I heard he was learning how to do things digitally. He's just old, and he doesn't employ any assistants either.
>>284776154If Historie has scenes that play in the dark then the screen better be dark. Other anime make everything bright as day and it sucks.
>>284774740is this old enough for a rewatch yet
>>284778403I, Claudius is usually baby's first. Latro in the Mist, The Name of the Rose.Historical fiction is an actual literary genre and it's pretty popular.Ask /lit/ or /his/.
