Believe in the me who believes in you.
Believe in you who believes in yourself.

Came out during a time where sincerity was still valued.
>>
It's shit, sexist and not memorable. Watch Gundam if you want some great and memorable anime.

>Gundam
I'm not a woman sorry

Yoko's tits
>>
>>284763103
every mecha released before TTGL was mediocre so it really stood out
>>
>>284763103
Built on the shoulder of giants. That's not to take anything away from it but all it's direct influences from Getter Robo to Xabungle really makes it feel like the culmination of an entire genre.

Yoko&Simon sexual tension
>>
>>284763103
except that it's forgotten, nobody talks about it nowadays
zoomers don't know ttgl despite knowing other contemporary shows like death note
>>
Because it is a philosophical dialogue framed as a mecha epic, and that's rad
>>
>>284763103
It's got lots of style and pure, unbridled love for mecha and its history.
>>
>>284763103
mecha
good animation, esp for the time
good soundtrack
cool characters
tugs at heartstrings in the right ways
philosophy
and most of all its masculine and makes the lines super thick for style to express masculine rage
>>
>>284763103
It fought the power.
>>
>>284763103
Good pacing
Personally I also really liked how shit just kept escalating to completely ridiculous levels, I don't think I've seen a single anime since then that did it as well as it did
>>
>>284764602
KLK tried, but never reached the same heights
>>
>>284763339
since when was /a/ so woke?
>>
>>284767350
/a/ is the most woke board due to the moderation having a no fun instance on everything
>>
>>284763103
Easy and heartfelt message. I like that it actually lets the protagonist become a downer before he rises up again. It makes it feel far more relatable.
>>
>>284769424
kek no, /co/ is easily the most woke board
>>
SORE GA TENGEN TOPPA
SORE GA GURREN LAGANN

>>284763103
Anime killed off the only characters I liked while letting the ones I hated live

Them.

I think everytime triggered tried to emulate ttgl's success, it just petters down near the end. this >>284767250 and promare just got exhausting to watch by like the middle.

On the other hand I'm glad the Gridman series settled for the slower approach.
