I feel like Shinmai Maou has set the bar so high for me that i can't enjoy any other harem anime. It's nor perfect, but its characters are by far the best in the genre, and it doesn't shy away from what we're here for nearly as much as the others like DxD.Is there any other that compares to it? Also, is there any anime original harem show? I feel like all of them are LN adaptations (that usually never get finished).

Kiss x Sis OVA is the best ecchi imo as it doesn't shy away from... anything.

Shinmai Maou doesn't suffer from it as much as stuff like DxD but it's still there unfortunately.That's probably due to being LN adaptations honestly. LN format encourages that kind of extensive world building. That's why i'm also wondering if there are any anime original harems.
