Although even in the manga Kishimoto was always superior at drawing fight scenes.It IS disappointing how sword skills aren't much of a thing in Bleach, since very early it's all about speed and power and raw ki powerlevels, the samurai aesthetic is wasted, we should have gotten Rurouni Kenshinesque sword fights with an added magical ability here and there.Talking about Kenshin... >>284771637Studio Pierrot had a lot more competent animators back then. Some of their shit was unmatched. Toei relied a lot on an older approach of trying to draw and stillshot the crap out of anything. Their backgrounds are really nice but the animation quality itself has always been a lower priority.
