I recently watched evanjellyon again and there's a couple things I found>shinji isn't nearly as bad as he's made out to be, he's kind of a wimp in the beginning but he actually becomes pretty reliable after a while>asuka on the other hand is much worse than she gets credit for, she's completely self-obsessed and indifferent to the suffering of others>misato and rei are both good girls, they generally try to do what's best for all>shinji really just needed a boyfriend to solve all his problems it seems>suzuhara was the most stable and normal child, just shit luck that the angel infested his eva I guess

Misato also starts being occupied by her own issues at some point and stops even paying attention to Shinji. They were all fucked by the time of the first episode.
