I don't think fans really care about side characters as much as they pretend to. They whine about their "favorite" characters being "useless" or "not doing anything", but whenever they do get focus, it's "padding" or "filler". Or "it doesn't count because any character could have done that or you could remove it without changing anything".How can you say you like a character and wish they had more screentime when you don't even like the screentime they do have?
