I refuse to believe those lazy stereotypical isekai bums would lift a finger realisitically speaking if they were given such a thing
>>284793338its not as if your stats get better in real life by working hard
>>284793338because you're guaranteed to get results from your efforts, unlike real life
>>284793409Ever heard of exercise you retard?
>>284793429>exercise is the only thing in life
>>284793442Ever heard of getting a diploma and a well paying job you retard?
>>284793470>diploma>well paying jobyou're a 70 year old out of touch with the real world
>>284793429With exercise you'll quickly hit a wall and get diminishing returns, in an RPG system you keep getting stronger (often times exponentially).
>>284793502Let me guess, you fell for the computer science related career path meme?
>>284793338They need instant gratification to do anything. Real discipline and hard work often takes months or years before any payoff.
>>284793338Effort brings near guaranteed results.
>>284793338You do the thing, and you're rewarded for it. Real life doesn't work like that.
>>284793706In real life, the only reward for work is more work.
>>284793771I'm not talking about work, I'm talking about accomplishments.
Reward for working hard in anime: you get superpowers or stronger superpowers if you already have themReward for working hard IRL: doesn't exist or isn't worth the time or energy
>>284793338What are you exactly asking here? Goals and objectives will make you thrive, the lack of them will make you stagnate, that's how it work for everything.
>>284793338Humans are genetically predisposed to enjoy the concept of numbers going up, an RPG system gives you numbers to increase
>>284793429Even with exercise there are limits to how much stronger you can get, if you had the strongest man in the world fight a dragon he would lose and it would be a onesided defeat
>>284793338Because you get actual power while doing cool magic shit and adventuring. Power IRL it's all about how successfully you're able to mobilize other people to do what you want them to do (which is a pain in the ass) and at the end of the day you'll still just be a pathetic regular human. In isekai sloppa you become a demi-god by mindlessly grinding skills.
>>284793750>train to be able to run a marathon>get rewarded with being in the top 10-15% percentile of cardiovascular capabilityreal life is literally what rpgs are based on
>>284793338There are tangible and proven rewards for working in isekai, unlike literally just about everything in the real world currently.
>>284793943to put that into perspective, if you live in the USA that would give you an achievement less than 0.5% of the USA playerbase would have achieved
>>284793338Incrementally increasing quantifiable trackable statsDoes the autism good
>>284793943Yeah, but that wouldn't get you anything
>>284793338>why do characters suddenly get motivated to work when they get an reward systemfixed that title for you.
>>284793338>Anon's never heard of executive dysfunctionNot everyone has an easy time organizing what they need to do in their head. In fact that's like probably the cause of 80% of laziness in the first place.
>>284793943>Top 10-15%Which is useless if you are not good enough to get gold at the olympics
>>284793943OKAnd now what
>>284793338Because its a power fantasy for nerds that have failed in life.
>>284793338Labor theory of value but real.
>>284794389>>284794627>>284794715manchildren
Because the things they wanted to do/achieve didn't exist IRL, but they do in this new world?
>>284793384This but unironically
>>284795039actual braindead musclebrain boomer
>>284793338Multiple isekai protagonists died from overworking to death.
>>284793338He didn't work any harder with the RPG system. The system just rewarded him for his work, unlike his irl. It's like asking why nepo babies work so much harder than the average person.
>>284793429If you stop exercising, it leads to you regressing back to how you were (or worse). Unless the game has stat regression from disuse (something almost entirely unheard of), it's incomparable.
>>284793338I mean, in this specific case if he refuse to complete the quests of the system he get to be trapped into a penality quest with high chances to getting killedT. Someone who watched only flew episode only to lose interests
Are you people for real!? Are you sulking all day because the life is not what you want? Putting the effort into learning and skills is worthwhile because it enables you to change your life with your own hands. It may be exercise to feel better. It may be reading to be less of a retard. It may be learning a skill like plumbing, electricity or carpentry to improve your home. It does not matters if other values them or it they will make you rich, do it be actual human being that has an impact in its own life!
>>284793338Gamification has proven motivational effect for office workers and the like. It's not even about instant tangible gains, it's about numbers going up.
>>284793384real life literally works this way, you just don't have a number next to your stats in real life so you don't have the drive to increase your numbers
>>284793338there are a shit ton of apps attempting to 'gamify' your routine. normalfags love that crap
>>284793338Why are people motivated to play games? To complete tasks? To grind? Are there people who are not and people who are motivated? What if there is an anime about people who get the RPG system but completely ignore it and live boring lives? I'm sure there are some ideas here and there that explore the idea. Like any idea, there are different evolutions of the idea. Just as One Punch Man is an evolution of super hero genre, there will likely be a RPG system anime where the main character doesn't do anything. From there it could either lead to boring show or the system reacting in kind and simply offering all the rewards for even the basic tasks to make the system fulfilling. Brushing teeth, waking up, coughing, eating, walking, etc
>>284796739I've never even had a real friend before, so I don't care about anything else. All I want out of life is a friend.
>>284797464No no no what you actually want is a girlfriend and not even that what you actually want is to bang every hot 8/10 girl you come across.
>>284797393In real life, you are not guaranteed to get the desired result. You can do everything right and still not get what you want.
>>284797489I don't give a fuck about romantic relationships or sex.Literally all I want is a friend. Someone I can talk to and hang out with.
>>284797536You can do that all that and more with a girlfriend
>>284797513just think of it like game RNG
>>284797548Friendships and romantic relationships fulfill very different needs. I have no desire for a girlfriend because I've never even experienced friendship.
>>284797568>Friendships and romantic relationships fulfill very different needs. You wouldn't know that because you've experienced neitherGet a girlfriend
>>284797558In a game, you get infinite tries. If you fail, it costs nothing to try again.
>>284793338It's more the act of being reborn. People in real life feel too bogged down to put in effort. I could be an amazing person if I started training as a kid, but now I'm in my thirties and it's too late. It's all over. No point trying anymore. Being transmigrated is a fresh start.
>>284796739Life is suffering. Even if I do get what I want, it fades away. The ice cream melts in my stomach, I get sickness, worries about obesity and heart diseases. Even if I watch the most beautiful anime, it fades from memory in time, it leaves behind the taste that other anime are worse and have undesirable affect on my mind like having disgust, loathing, anxiety and suffering from knowing there not being good anime anymore, etc. And if you dont get what you want, then there's general suffering. Cant watch the anime in time because no subs, no dubs, not right quality, bad translations, bad voice acting, bad animation, bad characters, bad plot, bad story, wasting time, pirating and getting court orders, buying and spending money that could be used for something else, having to worry about not having money, having to worry about not playing video smoothly on your computer, having to worry about upgrading, etc etc etc etc
>>284797585I can't nagivate a romantic relationship if I've never even a platonic one.
>>284796739The existence of talent is real and undeniable. I don't know of many video game analogies so you /v/iggers might not relate to my post, but let's just say life is hardstuck when you have no talent for anything.
>>284793338Because seeing a number go up is a more tangible reward than “congratulations on your hard work here’s the bare minimum you need to survive this month keep working so you can survive next month too”. Have you never played a video game before?
>>284796739If I'm not going to get anything tangible out of it, it's a waste of time. I have zero talents and I'm only average at any learned skills.
>>284797736You see other people do things amazing and think they're just naturally gifted. By doing so you're downplaying all the effort they put in. The hours of grinding they do to reach that point. You lack the willpower to put in the effort yourself, and assume everyone else is like you and so therefor any skill is something they were just born with. Video game isekai was designed as a power fantasy for people like you because the MC becomes super skilled with only the bare minimum of effort. They become master swordsmen not because of years of training with the blade but because they leveled up and put all their talent points into the sword skill. They have an OP magic attack not because they spent hours studying and developing a technique but because they ate a piece of monster ass and got given its skills. They have to do "something" to get the power so it's not a natural skill they were born with, but that something always involves the bare minimum of effort. Because that's how the audience wishes it worked. They want to be amazing and say they're willing to work for it, but only if the work doesn't take too much time and effort. Because if it does take too much time and effort than they go into cope mode about how only those with talent can achieve results.
>>284797984No amount of work IRL can give you superpowers.
>>284797587>In a game, you get infinite triesStill gotta farm the pops and camp the NMs, bro.
>>284795845>Unless the game has stat regression from disuse (something almost entirely unheard of)This would actually be a fun game mechanic to have. Not all the time, but it would work really well for chore simulators like MMOs.
>>284797984No one is talking about hard work, you silly child. Of course everyone at the top works hard. That's not the point. The point is that you can dribble that ball until your hands fall off, but you'll never be Michael Jordan or Kobe if you're under 160 centimeters.
>>284794027>america out of nowhere
