For starters, everyone and their fucking MOTHER has been referring to her as either the apothecary or the apothecary's daughter for the entirety of season 1. Or, at the very least, everyone is already perfectly aware of her adoptive father is. Why is this suddenly an issue? And, just for the sake of argument, let's assume that in Season 1 she had been actively working to keep all of this a secret. Her background, her adoptive father, everything. From what I've seen in Season 1, a frog can't fart in the rear palace without someone knowing about it. The entire shtick of the show is literally rumour-mongering dialed up to 11/10. There isn't a chance in fucking hell that the Emperor, his cousin, and his niece fifty times removed hasn't already figured out out who this bitch is by the end of Episode 6 in Season 1. IT'S IN THE FUCKING TITLE FOR FUCK'S SAKE.
