From the official Keroro Xwitter: >"This fall a new Keroro series starts anew from the very beginning" So I guess this confirms that the new series is indeed a remake, it apparently was supposed to come out during Summer 2026, but was changed to Fall 2026 due to "production issues"
They posted this under the publication, official announcement talking about the remake
Hopefully it won't be as mid/shit as the original anime, early manga was good
>>284809361I wonder why they're getting rid of the original cast.
>>284809872Some of them are in their mid 70s, they probably want the remake to last for a couple of seasons and are afraid one of the OG cast members might drop dead, I guess? I mean Fuyuki's original VA is dead already, Paul the butler's VA is also dead
>>284809962Not even Nakata is in his "mid 70s", the fuck are you even smoking?
>>28481042971 is old as fuck still when compared to most current VAs, Shurara's original VA is 80 years old, Kagege's is 79 years old, Keroro's Dad's is 83 years old, Akina's is 90 years old, Baio's is 76 years old, 3M's VA is 71 years old also Fuyuki's original VA, the Space Policewoman's VA and Paul's original VAs are all dead, Koneko's VA and Wettle King's VA retired granted many of those are minor characters, but all of them were recurring enough in the anime to need a recast if they plan on bringing at least some of them back
>mine getting worksucks>moacool
>The real life Dance Man dropped out of University and never finished his education Based dropout Dance Man
Hopefully this time it won't be as censored as the 2004-2011 anime, they're probably trying to pander to otakus if they're recasting everyone with younger idols, I'm not asking for bare boobs, but I hope they keep the darker comedy and adult jokes the old anime removed, throw in some pantyshots while you are at it like the Animax shorts did (also allow Viper to smoke like in the manga this time, the Animax shorts allowed that as well)
there is a high probability of new gamblerclub doujins coming out of this, which is enough for me.
>>284811100A Keroro remake can only be a improvement over the babyfied old adaptation, unless you go out of your way to make it worse on purpose, I wasn't a fan of the old anime's artstyle either, none of the girls looked as cute as they did in the manga
>>284809341they would have shown her panties if this chapter was made in the early 2000s
>>284811459They did show Alisa's butt recently
>>284811100>they're probably trying to pander to otakusAny otaku worth his salt is still fairly salty about what Mine did to KemoFure, anon.
>>284811521While the current manga mostly avoids pantyshots nowadays, they're still okay with showing bare butts from time to time (mostly Natsumi), maybe the editors see bare butts as being less sexual than underwear
>>284811735Japanese otakus seem happy about the remake in the comments, the only negative comments I see are people bitching over the VAs being recasted which I can understand

Post official art
I get this is /a/ but we're getting a stage musical too, I wanna know what you guys are hoping for with that. I personally would just kill for an Aki musical number.>>284811100I don't think that's going to happen. Keroro has shifted to be far less horny (and it's honestly for the better). Sure we get a couple bare butts and my wife got a few choice angles with her power shit and such every once in a while but we aren't going to get to what it used to be with multiple panty shots and really lewd and suggestive shit. I don't know why there's a bunch of people on /a/ who seem to act like the anime turned it into babyfied garbage. >>284811801Yeah, and even then it's the fact they did it without even consulting or asking for the most part. I think if this was done a bit more tactfully they'd be more okay with it. Plus the movie is using their original VAs as a sort of finale to it.
>>284812202I had a big crush on Natusmi when I was younger.
>>284812297The manga is less horny that it was in the past (FOR THE WORSE), but it is pretty horny still, the old anime was really, really, really babiefied garbage and the manga was toned down as a result, they censored more than just nudity, they removed cleavages in the early seasons, they removed some realistic guns and replaced them with cartoony ones, they removed the WW2 references and the WW2 pilot (both shows up in the PS2 videogame as a stage tho), they changed some lines like Moa being told to kill all humans no matter what being changed to "show them mercy whenever you can", the removal of the gory gags, removing the blood, the smoking, changing Koyuki's fundoshi to a swimsuit, changing the alcohol to soup and so on you can like the anime, but it was SHIT, the art was pretty bad compared to the manga as well and it worse as it went on, the one thing I liked about the anime was the soundtrack so at least it had that also I noticed Mine Yoshizaki's name isn't in the remake's promo, they're trying to distance themselves from the creator due to what I assume is behind the scenes drama
>>284812464>but it is pretty horny stillYeah, the author likes putting Natsumi on all sort of fetish scenarios
>>284812464... What are you smoking, anon? I don't think there's any major backstage drama with Mine. Odds are he's busy with Movie 6.>>284812545I mean it's still less horny than say the random molesters and extremely horny scenarios of the earlier manga. I think it has a nice balance of horny and heart currently.
>>284812202
>>284812849Dummy, His name was all over the merch before, most merch had either "(C) Mine Yoshizaki" or "1999 Mine Yoshizaki", but the near trailer and it's poster only have "(C) KADOKAWA", my guess is that Mine asked for his name to be removed since he disappeared from the face of the Earth and abandoned his social media after what happened with Kemono Friends, I know nothing about that show so I have no idea why it's fans hate Yoshizaki so much
>>284812867
>>284811100>>284812464I hope they don't censor Melody Honey's cleavage this time, she seems to be the only minor character from the early years of the manga that shows up from time to time to this day still, so she must have done something right
>>284813458She's in all of Yoshizaki's projects, so she'll likely turn up again.
>>284813458
I miss old manga casual nudity. Also their mom is one of my few first MILF crush
>>284811801Survivor biasYou are in the official page, of course you'll find nothing but the ones interested in the franchiseBut we've seen what happenedThe fans left, and they dragged Shachibato down to the dirt simply because Mine was the concept artist. The game died because it was found that he was the artist
>>284813646She cute
Moa my beloved
>>284810864>71 is old as fuck still when compared to most current VAs71 years old who still got it is a blessing. Being old sucks but don't give that kind of excuse to veteran seiyuus who can still voice roles. It's funny to me that Nozawa refuses to give up her role as Goku because fans want her quit.
>>284814887I think is more out of concern for their health, anon mangakas are dropping like flies for example, Miura and Toriyama weren't even that old when they died
>>284810331If the remake does end up being slightly closer to the original manga, that means that Kogoro and Rabi would no longer be major recurring characters like in the 2004-2011 anime and would instead be relegated to mostly nonspeaking cameos after their debut like in the manga, it doesn't really bother me since the remake can insert them in the background of the episodes so people can play a game of "spot the characters", that would be fun
>>284812975His name is the first one listed on every copyright of every poster, just because you can’t read Japanese doesn’t mean it isn’t there dumbass. And not strictly directed at you but people who think the Kemono Friends drama would actually impact Keroro have their heads way too far up their asses, Japanese normies who grew up with the Keroro anime and want to consume stuff that gives them nostalgia far outnumber raging otaku hikikomoris who can’t let go of a grudge from over half a decade ago based on rumors that weren’t even proven. Individual creators own the property but have little to no control over adaptations otherwise, it was most likely Kadokawa producers being control freaks and the same thing is happening again with this recast (aging concerns aside they apparently didn’t even bother consulting with the old actors first)
