It's Ruri's birthday, say something nice about this dragon.
>>284810887I like ruri and would be friends
>>284810887She has a cute voice.
>>284810887I hope she gets her anime soon. KyoAni would be a perfect fit for her.
>>284811667I was kinda expecting an announcement at Jump Festa, maybe next year.CloverWorks could work
I can't wait for her new figure to come out.
I read this in 2022 and then I read the author died. Is it back?
>>284812916The author got well enough to continue, this came back in 2024
>>284812445
>>284810887Her manga is TRASH and her character is annoying. Worst SoL I've ever seen
>>284811500if they recast her for the anime I will RIOT
>>284810887Happy birthday to the MC of the most pointless manga that has ever existed.
>>284810887Free-use dragon
>>284817503It's a perfect match and they'd have to be idiots to change her.
>>284810887Something nice, huh? Alright, let's see...Your manga is boring as all hell, it's the dullest, worst SoL ever created, your character is unlikable, the quality of the art is on the level of a middle schooler's, the writing quality is even worse, your creator doesn't even like writing this shit, your creator can't write to save his life, and thankfully, your shitty manga loses more and more followers as time goes on. So yeah, happy birthday, Ruri, you ugly slag.
>>284818564In public, no less
>>284817503>>284818916Keep your pitchforks at hand
>>284810887Happy birthday, Ruri-chan!
>>284810887cute horns
>>284810887Happy birthday!
>>284812445Is she up for pre-order yet? I didn't realise she had another figure.
>>284817573Whoa, hey now, let's be nice here. Every manga has a point, even something like Ruri. The whole point of Ruri is to serve as a cure for insomnia. This manga is so boring and uninteresting that even someone who has regularly had issues falling asleep will be out like a light in a matter of seconds after reading this crap.
>>284825803They only revealed that it's coming eventually. Maybe we get more info when the next chapter releases
>>284810887Happy birthday, slut.
I don't have anything against it, I just think it's kind of mediocre I guess, but I really have no idea how the hell this became popular.
>>284827097The initial hype when it released grew because it was an interesting premise and the MC is cute, then the mangaka stopped because he almost died so people just made up an idea of how the series was going to be in their heads and the hype built up around that. Then the guy came back and the rest is history. It's kind of like how Kagurabachi only became popular because people treated it like a meme.
>>284827673The sad thing is that the premise on its own isn't a bad idea. It's just that the creator has squandered any chance of actually doing anything unique or truly interesting with it.>Ruri meets other half-dragonsNope. She's somehow the only one that has ever existed throughout history. Any potentially interesting interactions are therefore impossible.>Ruri uses her powers for everyday lifeHardly. She messes around with them for like, maybe a chapter or two, and then they're just shelved away.>Ruri gets to learn about her classmates. Perhaps they have their own unique quirks. Not only does the reader not get to know her classmates, it seems like Ruri herself never really gets to know them. She talks with them...and that's about it. We learn nothing about who they are, what their lives are like, or anything, making these scenarios pointless filler. Not to mention, they don't have any fun or endearing traits or quirks. They are about as zero-dimensional as characters can get. >As Ruri's dragon traits further develop, we see the feelings of some of her classmates begin to change. Nobody has any real feelings about the dragon stuff, other than the most mild of interest. On top of that, as Ruri develops more powers, you would think that maybe some of the kids would start to become a little more wary of being around her. I mean, she's got these crazy powers that they don't have. How are they supposed to protect themselves? What if something were to happen such as one of her traits goes out of control and she ends up either seriously injuring one of her classmates, if not accidentally killing them? Nobody considers these issues, and the way the concerns surrounding her powers are always resolved is that she's just told, "Eh, don't worry about it. 'Sall cool." This prevents any interesting developments from really happening because the resolution is always the same. This is just a really weak series when you get down to it. There are far better SOL manga.
