Got it as an early Christmas present, read it all this week and it's great. It presents the reader with an absurdist/existentialist understanding of human purpose, but it's implicit and never pretentious in doing so. The chapters where their vehicle inevitably broke down, and Yuuri went from being the passenger to leading the way by holding Chito's hand until the end, were the only possible fullfillment of the story's themes, even if depressing
By the way, this was kino. Probably my favorite of those self-contained segments that precede the "main" part of each volume
