I've recently read the manga so I haven't been in the threads and have no idea how much of this you've talked about yet. Is it reasonable to think that Julian is a descendent of the king from before he journeyed to the western continent/became blessed? If true it sounds like some fate/god thing. They've set up a couple of parallels between them (both blessed, both are scarred, both came from the same place, they both look similar and have similar temperaments).Umi seems to be trying to take control over Vulja's next incarnation through making a contract with Diana and pretty much claiming her, but does anyone else suspect that she could have had a hand in instigating her to descend in the first place? To have thr most powerful pawn possible seems like a worthy aim. The fact that the girl with a god's heart just so happened to be in the right place to be forced into a contract with her seems mighty suspicious to me, but it might just be that she took the opportunity that she saw.

That's where the slaves are brought from so there would be cheaper/local options available. >>284839049My guess is that Julian is a descendent of the King from before he became blessed. Julian might be more or less a fated instrument. He wasn't supposed to be on the ship, he was a stowaway. His resemblence will most likely be brought up if Velselka (mind control/ illusion knight) isn't find fucking people's perceptions. Julian's own mother's weird comments have me believe that Julian is a chosen one. The King is like 1000 years old so it could honestly be that Julian is the descendent of whoever the King sacrificed for his gift (You need to sacrifice someone you love and it has to be willing on both sides beyond the 100). The lover was sacrificed, but Umi/ Sea Mommy brought the child to safe harbor.On Diana and Umi, the whole thing with the Forest being scared of Diana is an interesting bit. Sea Mommy imitating Mira is weird because it comes across less like she's antagonizing Julian and more like she is trying to get him to drop his guard. She's trying to get close to him. The Forest by example, just had no diplomacy and tried killing everyone. Umi also generally communicates with people. The Forest/ Mushroom Lady created a corpse puppet, did spatial distortion attacks, and did some psychic bullshit to attack Julian.
