And we don't know how Miura lived his life outside of Berserk, even if he did interviews and watched movies. I think with the plotline with Guts' and Casca's kid, I think on some level he might've wanted a family at one point in his life. Whether that worked out, I don't know. My guess is that due to his medical problems and career, he opted out of that.
