I find the initial d community kinda split on it.
The redditards/normies are filtered hard by the fanservice and the jk lover guy.
Since it's a continuation of initial d I think you'll love it, since they're slowly revealing the fate of the initial d cast, not to mention the nostalgia-bait racing moves (mc is basically another autist)
If you like car racing, even a little bit, I think you'll love it. If you're in it only for the memes, I'm not sure.

Kind of a no-brainer decision imo. The license to super eurobeat songs must be cheap as hell, considering it's sort of a niche genre.
It's also iconic, so I reckon it was an easy decision.

The thing I liked about Initial D was the racing and all that felt like a "local" thing like everyone knew it was going on (that's why you never really see cops or anything) while MF Ghost has turned the racing into a spectacle

Oh it's a continuation that's fucking cool. Intial D always had fan service especially the OVA extra stages who would bitch about that? It sounds good so I'll definitely catch up to watch Season 3 weekly.

I liked the past seasons. Last race especially was very good.
Lots of Initial D fans online complain about the races being drawn out but there are just more racers that matters here and more stuff happening during a race

The first two seasons sucked. The racing is boring, the cars are boring, the romance doesn't belong. It is disgraceful for the Initial D characters to show up in a sequel this bad.
The hag is the hottest angel.
