Would you recommend Serial Experiments Lain to /a/ in 2025?
i would
it talks about how bad tech would be or something
It's pretty mediocre desu. Like most of the mediocre animes, filled with annoying plot holes that never get explained again. It tries to be too much for what it is.
If Lain was a boy no one would watch this
>>284862299Yes. Personally I think the show is a 5/10 but many casual anime fans love it.
>>284862299is this the jiren anime?
Yeah, experimental/artsy storytelling is important. Easy to recommend over the billionth high school teen drama (but with a twist!) mold.
>>284862813I would>>284862299Definitely, it's the type of thing that's becoming much more prominent. Chiaki Konaka's shows are quite foundational stories, they'll never age out of relevancy, they speak to the universal human experiences.
it's interesting, the thing is, even for his time, its pretty boring, i love it, it's ,y 2nd favorite anime, but if i would recommend to anyone, i would probably say no
>>284862299/a/ has shit taste so no, I want /a/ to watch actually good things to improve their taste.
>>284862299I would reccomend a good anime instead
>>284862299Who the fuck is on /a/ in 2026 and still hasn't seen Lain yet?
>>284864155I have seen and liked it but I can't remember much.
>>284862699>Tech bad!
>>284862299It insists upon itself.
>>284862299I don't recommend anime that don't have fights to normies
>>284862299Why does she have a basedjack on her jacket?
I would recommend you never rewatch it if you have fond memories of it from 10+ years agoyou will do nothing except ruin a good memory
