Tenshinhan should have been the one to use Ultra Instinct abilities, not Roshi. Roshi stopped training for all of Z, Tenshinhan was the only person in the series to never stop training. Not only that but Toriyama said Tenshinhan's eye had godlike powers but the deeds he committed sealed it off. Given he was able to copy moves he saw instantly in Dragonball and has the most martial arts prowess and an actual god eye, he would have been way more impactful using it with his multiple arms and going against Jiren than Roshi. Him teaching it to Goku would have been way more impactful since it showed he's finally been absolved of his sins and his nonstop hardwork paid off and Goku making him an ally and forgiving him was worth it. Roshi just felt like a gag.
