Don't lose hope..

nothing ever happens

I personally don't want the series to end. These are mostly slice of life novels with some supernatural mystery thrown in. I think the magic would be lost if every question were answered after all these years of enjoying the mysterious aspects of the world and characters. It's sorta like I don't trust the author with his own series anymore. It's such an old and settled thing that it feels weird to return to it and meddle around. Even though I did like the two newest books. It just doesn't need a big, bombastic ending. Unless you really want to see Kyon and Haruhi confess their love or something. And as for more of the anime, I don't think any of it really needs to be adapted. Season 1 and the movie are classics, but I don't see them as the main attraction. The novels are the core of the series. If you've been holding out for a season 3 all this time, then I suggest learning how to pick up a book and read instead of waiting for something that's never going to happen. I don't care what some leaker said. It's not going to happen. If he has any credibility then it's probably just Yuki-chan season 2. Nobody is gonna pick up where Kyoani left off, or have the balls to remake it from scratch. Nor is Kyoani ever going to pick it back up after all this time. It's one of very many unfinished LN adaptations. And just like the rest of them, this can't be stressed enough. Read. The. Books.
>>284881797>Unless you really want to see Kyon and Haruhi confess their love or somethingThat's covered with the college stuff. The last few volumes were very intimate in their relationship.

>>284883722What do you mean? the college thing is a 3 minute flash forward that doesn't establish anything besides that they go to the same college together and that haruhi (at least somewhat) knows about the strange stuff at that point.

>>284881797Whilst most of the novels are slice of life (Boredom, Sigh, Rampage, Wavering, Indignation, Intuition, Theatre), a lot of there are a lot of stories that are either only partially slice of life(Melancholy, Dissociation, Surprise), have stories within them that arent slice of Life (Rampage, Wavering) or just straight up isnt slice of life at all (Disappearance)And IMO Haruhi is at its best when it isnt slice of life, and focuses on the grander narrative and character arcs, with a focus on the mystery and sci-fi elements.

>>284881797>>284890153The secret of Haruhi's eroticism is that she's just a little bit chubby. You can see it in her arms and legs. Not a lot. Just a little. Just enough.

Mikuru's grand adventure, volume 7, is right there for you to read. She's been waiting for you all these years, hoping that you'd finally read her story.
>>284888176The last few volumes have lots of Kyon x Haruhi moments, they don't kiss but it's really as clear as can be
