Streaming platforms like Netflix/Crunchyroll don't pay the bills for anime studios. Movies do, but their business model is basically breaking arcs and selling little parts to you in the theatres every 5 years. The Netflix audience are only exposed to a minimal part of anime that doesn't represent the medium as a whole, and a lot of them feel shocked when they're exposed to different genres. A bunch of small additions and changes. There's Silent Witch, Watamote, Mizu Zokusei, Mikadono, Exorcist wo Otosenai, Precure, and Mahoako. I'm probably forgetting some. The subs for a few images have been increased in size since readability was low even at full size. Adjustments include the chair in Takagi's bed image since it had Yhidra's hair still on it, an older layer removed from the Sakamoto Days tunnel effect panel, a few images resized to fill negative space or otherwise be slightly less awkwardly sized. That should be the completed version since I don't think there's much, if anything, outstanding or has space to go. It's a clusterfuck but it's /a/'s clusterfuck.

Gave up at the 1/4 point when I realized I wasted way too much space already, but it's the thought that counts.
The bitching is pretty funny though when I did my amateur hour shit in about 20 minutes using just MS Paint and a web based ripoff of photoshop. The hard part really is just putting everything together in a cohesive way (which is why I gave up :^)

I literally just typed in "free AI background remover" and went to the first non-ad link.
They're not actually that good, but if you have images with a strong focal point they'll work out. You can also just edit most of the image before adding them (or just not be a bitch and go pixel by pixel in paint, which is what I prefer doing)

To be honest, you had to make some efforts to watch anime on the Internet in the 00's and 10's (searching a stream for an anime, torrents, subscribing to CR and others streaming platforms in 2010's, etc). Now, you can just discover some title on a generalist streaming service, which makes it more accessible to commoners.
The good analogy would be: in 00's and 10's you could only watch anime on specialised cable channels, now they are broadcasted to national TV channels.
