GTO is a very 90's show that would not fly today in the world where anime is a global market product. Would love to see it though, but it's very solidly never ever, in a similar way that Johnny Bravo is

GTO is a big enough franchise in Japan between the anime and drama series it is probably a candidite for getting a modern remake, though it would also look for some kind of semi-mainstream airing and would be tone down compared to the 90s anime (even if more niche outlets exist that allow stuff like Nukitashi to exist), which itself was tone down from the manga. Any such adaption would probably get 2-4 cour commitment at most as well, and thus either be heavily rushed, have huge skips, or not get through the manga.
