Alice is a girl from another company Akari and Aika befriend so it's not unreasonable for her to be introduced later. But Akira is Aika's mentor who's supposed to be very involved in her life. Seeing Aika do all these things and attend different events with other people without Akira around in the earlier chapters almost feels like Akira is a retcon.
